*Lola POV*

Prom night was awesome! I really enjoyed every second.

Today was the last day of school and also the last day of our exam finals. I was so excited, don't judge...some people actually have interest in school *shrug*

Elms drops me off at home and tells me he'll pick me up at 7 p.m. to go to the cinema with the rest of the gang.

I walk up past my mother's office, taking a step back I peek inside. No one there. Hmmm, guess she went out?

I walk up to my room and find a sticky pad note attached to it. It read;

Hey darling,

I got a job offer and I forgot all about telling you the other day. I got into the flight to Florida so I'll be staying with your aunt Cassandra, your cousin Tracy's mum...I'll be back in a few days but there's money in your account and please keep the house in good order.

I love you
Mum

Last I remember Tracy and I never got off the wrong foot but anyway, I was happy for her. She had her mum...and she still had her dad too. Some people don't see how lucky they are sometimes. *sigh*

Just then my phone beeps

Boyfwen: hey babe, you okay?

Me: yep I'm good. Hby?

Boyfwen: I'm okay...I miss you😭

Me: awww....and it's only been 2 hours😂 but yes I miss you too

Boyfwen: 😍

Me: babe...Mum left for Florida today, got an important job offer

Boyfwen: awww, so my baby is all alone?

Me: yea😭

Boyfwen: well, the fam bam thought about movie night at your place. What do you think?

Me: aw sweet! Sure, 7 p.m.?

Boyfwen: you got it babe😘 C Ya soon...I love you

Me: I wav you too😘

We always said 'gang' but after a while, we got so much closer and we became an inseparable group. We now call ourselves a 'family'
I like family better to be honest.

*5 hours later*

"Hey y'all" I say as I open the door to my friends.

The girls all hug me, as Deina hulls in a big bag. No doubt it's a bag of our favourite food. I smile wide. The guys all come into the house bantering about a soccer game. They all halt their conversation as they hug me and place kisses on my head. Last to walk in is Elms and he's happy to see me. As always. I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him, wrapping his arms around my waist he pull me closer. I lean into him and we get so carried away that everyone's whopping and cheering disrupts us.

I stand back and smile looking down at my feet. I still can't get used to this, it's like a fairy tale.

*Elms POV*

Every time we kiss I always feel like everything is perfect, every time we touch I feel like there's no such thing as impossible, everyone around me have all played a part in my life but just her, she was and always will be my light and my everything...to see me without her is like I have no purpose. She smiles and I instantly forget my bad day. She has no idea how much love I hold for her.
