We walked down an alley.
Kayano briskly looked back and forth. "Hmm...the back streets are pretty empty..."
Kanzaki, the dark-haired girl that Sugino had the hots for, nodded. "Exactly. Most of the shops here are off limits to uninvited customers. They're hidden from the main street, so people don't wander past them for no reason." She turned around to walk backwards while continuing to explain her reasoning. "That's why I added it to our sight seeing route. I thought that it would be the perfect place for an assassination!"
As Karma and Sugino complimented her idea, the sound of car doors slamming shut brought my attention to the end of the alley we came from. From my experience, slamming doors and dark, isolated allies don't add up to a very good result. But then again, exploring places like Antioch, Stockton, and San Francisco in California alone at night wasn't too bright either...
My attention was brought back around to the present moment as three guys, looking like they could be in high school, approached us from behind. I nudge Nagisa and caught Karma's attention, before pointing them out.
The guy with the darkest hair of the three, and a little stubble on his chin smirked at us, his eyes squinting. The other two were just as stupid looking as the one about to speak.
"It really is just perfect."
The guy just to the left of the first, the one with close-cut hair, wide eyes, and uneven teeth continued where his friend left off.
"Now why would you walk into an area like this, where abduction is a piece of cake?"
The others, who I didn't warn, whirled around at the sound of their voices.
"EH?!"
Nagisa was speechless, but Karma just smirk, tilting his head up as he addressed them.
"What's up, gents? Well, you don't seem to be here for sightseeing."
The second thug responded. "All you boys have to do is leave the women here and go home."
That was all that the thug was able to say before Karma darted towards him at an extremely fast pace. A shove to the jaw, and a grab to the face, using the eyes and mouth for leverage, resulted in Karma shoving the jerk to the ground. The man was reduced to a ball of pain, hands gripping his face where Karma's hands had been.
Karma was suddenly back next to Nagisa. "See Nagisa-kun? If there aren't any witnesses, then there's no problem even if I fight."
My eyes widened as I spotted a new addition to the fight club Karma in the back of the head with an old pipe.
"Got that right." Karma crumpled to the ground. I was frozen with Nagisa and Sugina. "This place is really well-hidden." He looked at his companions and swung the pipe up onto his shoulder, much like a baseball player would do with his bat. "Oi, grab the women!"
One of the guys grabbed Kayano, and that lanched Sugino and Nagisa into action, Sugino being a bit more verbal than Nagisa.
"Oi! What are you doing!!!"
However, before punches could be thrown, knees were. Right into Sugino's stomach. Then punches were thrown to Nagisa, efficiently knocking him out.
Then they turned to face me.
Well...shit.
I tentatively raised my hands up in front of myself. I've had little to no training in self defense, and all I know about is from what I've seen on TV or in the movies. I managed to dodge one of the guys, before the pipe flashed before my field of vision for a moment. Then, all I saw was black.

Dark...Loud...Moving...Jerky...Tight...Confined...
Tight...Confined...
My eyes snapped open in a panic at the feeling of being confined. Ropes. There were ropes that were confining movement. Panic lessened slightly, but I was still tense.
A thump on my left caught my attention, as well as the maniacal laughter.
"Like stealing candy from a baby!!"
The guy with the black hair was riding shotgun.
"What did I tell you?" He glanced over his shoulder. "Bookworms like them can't stand up to us."
Kayano's voice rang out clearly through the car.
"This is kidnapping, you know. And what you did to the boys!"
A blond leaned forward from the row of seats behind us. "Aww, come on. Don't be like that. It's not like any of us were enjoying the school trip anyway. We're only tryin' to make it more fun for you."
Another boy with a close-cut hairdo leaned towards Kayano, saying something about karaoke, to which Kayano let out an outburst on how they were ruining the trip.
The driver snickered. "You don't understand, do you? Ruining it is the best part." He glanced back and leveled his gaze onto Kanzaki. "I'm sure the other girl understands. Don't you?"
He pulled out his cell phone to pull up a picture to show us. "I thought I'd seen you around somewhere before. I keep tabs on girls of interest." The picture showed a girl in a tank top and shorts. It looked like Kanzaki with a light-brown wig. "An arcade in Tokyo sometime last summer. This is you, isn't it?"
I watched Kanzaki's expression and saw as she grew more worried as the delinquent continued talking.
"We were planning to grab you then, but you got away. Always at the arcade. So predictable. I never woulda thought you were a Kunugigaoka student, though. But I know how you high-class types like to go slumming and sabotage your lives." The boy leaned over to get into Kanzaki's face, sticking his tongue out as he finished his piece. "There's nothing to be embarrassed about. It's fun. I can teach you everything you need to know, all about how to ruin things."
I coughed slightly, drawing the ravenette's attention away from my classmate. I sent him a questioning look.
He regarded me silently. "You're wondering why I took you as well, eh?"
I nodded slowly.
He smirked. "Ain't it obvious? You're an exotic specimen!"
Those were the last words that I heard before a force hit my left temple, and I felt the cold window hit my forehead before all was black once again.
