-Skylers P.O.V-
It was raining fairly hard. The sound of the rain hitting the surfaces all around would be almost soothing if it weren't for the fact reality was slowly sinking in. It was night of a full moon, we had warned one another to never look in the direction of the moon while it was full, for bad and irregular things could happen to those who do. I was worried, stressed and honestly, felt like I could scream. Just stop everything, the running, the worrying, everything and scream, I didn't care what Nova, Charlotte, or Oliver thought of me. Well maybe I did care what Oliver thought...

Wait.

What?

No.

Where did that come from?

He's just a friend.

I didn't scream, I didn't do anything besides fall to the ground, and cry. Almost instantly Oliver was by my side, holding me in a hug.

Gently he placed his hands under my chin and lifted my head to his. I stared blankly into his eyes, my lavender mixing with his icy blue. My vision was blurred, and my eyes stung from the tears forming. Calmly he hugged me close, without thinking I buried my face in his shoulder. He then began whispering in my ear, making me jump, only slightly.
His voice was so sincere and caring as he spoke "Shh, hey, hey, It's okay, you're not alone." Holding my face in his hands he cupped my cheek delicately, wiping the tears with his thumb as they fell from my eyes. He remained silent, yet I understood completely. He was pained but strong, which was more then I could say for myself

I nodded, forcing the words from my lips, "I'm sorry"
He smiled ever so slightly, and hugged me close once again. "Don't apologize." He whispered under his breath, as his lips brushed my ear.

With that, I quivered and and chills shot down my spin. Making the hairs on the back of my neck stand straight up. He stood up and offered me his hand, which I took. I looked over to see Charlotte, and Nova resting and taking in the frigid beads falling from the sky.

Oliver and I waited a moment or two before moving. I stood looking at the sky watching as water fell from the clouds above. Closing my eyes I felt the rain soaking into my skin and hair. It wasn't until the girls walked over and began speaking that my concentration snapped back.

"Sky, I think we all need a break, we've run far and let's face it we all need time to morn..." Charlotte said, her eyes focused on the ground. "We've all lost so much, our home, our belongings, our fam-" she chocked as tears ran from her eyes. Nova wrapped her in a hug as they breathed heavily into one another's shoulders. I looked over at Oliver, tears stinging my eyes, as he dreadfully ran his hands through his hair, head hung. From here it was hard to tell whether he was crying or it was just rain running down his face.

We eventually made may way to what looked to be a large oak, hiding us from the storm. Oliver's elbows were resting on his knees, his hands still in his hair.

The rain hadn't slowed. If anything, it had picked up pace, and was now joined with thunder and lighting in the near distance. Charlotte and Nova had fallen asleep and Oliver was on the verge of joining them in slumber if he hadn't already. It was hard to tell in the position he was in, his head hung and facing towards the ground. I found myself studying him, sheepishly I turned away and without thought my eyes fluttered shut and were met with sleep as it fell over my body.

(I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, I tried to make it longer since the last was pretty short. I'm not sure how often I'll be updating with school and cheer, but I'll try to at least once a week)
