-Skyler's P.O.V-
I slept soundly for an hour or two but was awakened to the sound of thunder striking a tree in the distance. My heart skipped a beat, and my ears rang. It took a few minutes for my eyes to adjust in the dark, it wasn't until then I remembered the full moon. I quickly scanned the area around me, only to find my 3 sleeping friends, Oliver was shaking but was still asleep, almost as if he were trapped in a nightmare.

I walked over to him cautiously, trying not to wake him. Kneeling next to him I saw him twitch and murmur in his sleep. I carefully began to run my fingers through his damp hair, I couldn't help but smile. Even while he slept I couldn't help but notice how handsome he really was. His white T-shirt, soaked from the rain, was now transparent, and clung to his chest.

Without thinking I placed my open hand on his chest, my other still running through his hair. As I did so his murmurs seemed to slow and his twitching stopped completely. Slowly I bent down and planted my lips on his cheek, then stood up and turned to leave, I was about to walk away when I felt something grab my wrist. Startled I turned to see Oliver clutching me.

"Will you stay with me for awhile?... please?" He asked concerned.

I let out a faint sigh "Of course." I said, my expression softening. I knelt down once again, as he sat up to face me.

"Thank you," he replied, "right now we only have each other." My heart began to flutter.

"We have Bre and Kate too you know." I said slightly blushing.

"Oh, uh ya, right." He laughed nervously.

"But I get what you mean..." I said, my smile fading. My eyes dropped and began to well up with tears.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to-"

"It's fine." I replied "I know you wouldn't do anything to hurt me on purpose." I said faking a smile, with tears still in my eyes.

He looked down. And I followed. We sat with our eyes fixed on the ground until a familiar voice began yelling in the distance.

"There they are! Go finish the job!"

Our focus snapped to booming voice.
Without thinking we shot up to our feet and screamed "Bre! Kate! Run!" Almost simultaneously. The newly awakened girls, slightly confused did as told and dashed into the woods, now aware what was going on. The rain pouring around us made it hard to see much of anything. Right as my eyes adjusted I was yanked violently to the side right as a gun fired. It wasn't until he scooped me up and sprinted me deeper and deeper into the woods that I realized it was Oliver who was carrying me, and that he had just saved my life.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my face in his chest as he ran. He then ducked behind a tree and dropped me to my feet, pressing me tightly against him. I knew what he was doing so I remained silent and pressed my body into his. His breath was sharp from running so far so fast. With my head pressed against his chest I could hear his heart beating. It was a quick repetitive sound that, like the rain soaking them, it was almost soothing. I heard yelling in the far distance belonging to the same booming voice. It faded until eventually, it disappeared.

"I think we lost hi-"
Before Oliver could finish, I pulled His face down to mine and locked him in a kiss. He tilted his head slightly to the right, and after about 3 seconds I pulled out. I looked up at him nervously, my eyelids fluttering. It was just barley light enough that I could make out the smile that had formed on his lips. I blushed a dark shade of scarlet.
"Thank you for saving me." I said staring into his eyes.

"I've already lost my family today, if I lost you too, I don't know what I would do." My blush darkened. He then placed his hands on my hips and began kissing me once again. He pulled me in closer until my chest was pressed against his. I put one of my hands on the back of his neck to steady myself, and used the other to run through his soaked, chocolate colored hair.
