-Skyler's P.O.V-
Oliver and I waited  another half hour or so before going to find the others, making sure we were no longer in harms way. We searched for about another hour, before becoming worried.

"What are we gonna do?" I asked holding my face in my hands. "Oliver, I can't loose them too. This is too much."

"Hey, don't talk like that," he said walking up to me and resting his hands on my hips. "We'll find them, don't worry." He then grabbed my hands and pulled them from my face, resting his forehead on mine. Before stepping back he gave me a swift kiss on my nose, leaving me with blush dusted cheeks.

"We need to split up." I said, regretting it as soon as it left my lips.

"No way." He said defensively "I'm not going to let you go out there alone.".

I hung my head, "Oliver," I said calmly, "there's no way we'll find them if we don't."

"Sky-" He began. Before continuing he looked up at me and saw the sincerity in my eyes. Without saying anything, he nodded. "If we don't find them in an hour meet me back here, ok?"

I nodded. I turned to leave when suddenly Oliver came up behind me.

"Be careful." He whispered into my ear. With that, he took off running in the opposite direction.

It didn't take long before I came to, what looked to be, a cave. Without thinking I stepped in, not realizing the amount of animals that could be lurking in the shadows. Now sheltered from the storm I began wringing out my drenched hair, feeling the water drip through my hands.

"There's no bears in Ohio, right?" I whispered to myself, as I dropped my hands to my side. Without the light from the moon it was nearly impossible to see. "Kate? Bre?" I called. All my yelling must haves awoken a cluster of bats, because suddenly a swarm of screeching mammals swooped and dove above me. Covering my head I ducked to the ground until the pain staking screams had stopped. Standing up hesitantly, I continued walking forward when I found, what looked to be, a sky light. Rain poured through the hole in the cave. Without thinking, I looked up, only to be met with the full moon shining directly down on me. I froze realizing what I had just done. I stared for what felt like hours, just then a shooting star that had cut across the night sky started to drop down to earth. To get a better look I took a step forward, only to find that my foot caught nothing but air. Flipping and tumbling I began falling down a rocky slope. I couldn't see, and more importantly, I couldn't stop. Suddenly my back slammed against a loosened rock, or boulder. Pain shot through my body and rocks began to fall after me. Only seconds later I hit the ground. It took a minute, but I eventually built up the strength to stand, luckily I hadn't broken any bones. As I stood I became very dizzy. I brought my hand to my head. Pain once again shot through my body. Through my blurred vision I could tell I had a large gash on my head and now had blood rolling down my face. In the distance I could make out a small light source. I wobbled when I took my first few steps but eventually made it to the source. Because of the blood loss my vision swirled and my body swayed. Wobbly like a drunk, I fell. All I saw around me instantly went black.

I didn't know at the time, but what I had fallen down the slope for was now lying beneath my lifeless body, the gleam of the star, was now trapped beneath me.
