Starstruck

Morning

-Skylers P.O.V-
I woke up to a great deal of pain welled up inside my head. I brought my hand to meet the front of my forehead, pulling back almost instantly, due to a fierce stinging pain it had caused. I cursed under my breath, remembering the fall the night before. I stood up, my vision still slightly blurred, looking for a way back to the others. I began climbing a he rocky slope, slipping a few times along the way. Finally reaching the top, I brushed my hands onto my pants. The sky was 50 shades of orange and pink, fitting together like a beautiful morning puzzle. I inhaled deeply, forcing air into my parched mouth licking my lips bitterly. 'Why me?' I continued, 'Why us?'. This ran through my head many times, like a song stuck on replay. I searched for Oliver, Bre, and Kate, my memories still slightly fogged. I was lost in thought when my foot hit icy water. I slipped out of shock, soaking me from the waist down. I groaned and cursed once more. My head fell into my hands

"Need some help there?" I heard a familiar voice giggle.

I looked up to see Kate staring back at me, with her smile stretched from ear to ear. A smile quickly streaked my face. I jumped up and wrapped my arms around her

"I'm so happy you're okay!"

"Same here!" She said eagerly.

"Where's Bre and Oliver?" I asked ending the joyous moment and growing worried.

"I have no idea." She replied, her expression stiffening.

"Let's go." I said as we took off running.
