Zarah's POV

As I starred into the eyes of the man that haunted my dreams for 5 years, I knew right there and then that I no more had even a pea size of emotion in me for him. All I saw was hatred for the man that ruined my life.

"Zarah its been a while" said the starved looking fellow who was Amir as he sat in my home built office in my new residence in Abuja Nigeria, I had renovated an old building i had gotten at wuse 2 the month i got back. the search for Amir started 2 months after my return from India and finally after seven moths i had found him working as a bus boy at a friends office and gave him my card as we needed to talk about our son. i agree he isnt the best but my son desrves a father and well although i know that Arif is a great man it would be wrong to deny him of his real father while he still breath.

"Amir we have a child, and yes before you start saying any nonsense i was pregnant beore i left and never told you because you are not worth being in my child's life but he started asking questions and i am getting married soon so before i leave forever i want you to meet him and if you think i am lieing we can go for a DNA test at a hospital of your desire " I said all in one sentence.

"Zarah i wronged you and i don't even know how to apologize but i'm sorry i was a fool and i am still going to act o foolishly but please i dont want to meet our son in this condition so please can i just see a photo and i'd be out of your life but when i am ready i'll find you " He said tears welling up in his eyes. i picked up my phone from my table unlocked it and showed him a picture of Adeel from his last birthday with arif beside him.

"He's a lucky guy and I hope he doesn't make the same stupid mistake I made " He said getting up and going out. I dropped my head to my palms feeling sad for the Billo's for what Summayah had done to them but he brought it upon them.

Later that evening...

Arif and I had dressed up to go to his parents place and I was pacing about the living room stressed out of my mind since Arif called that he was at the gate and Manira the nanny was finding it has to dress Adeel up as he was throwing his tantrums around the room. finally after 15 minutes she came in with Adeel in her arms dressed in a tucked in t-shirt and black khakis and his hair palmed down with his tombs shoes as she handed him to me.

I walked up to his car as he equally seemed nervous about the day since his parents had no idea I was a single mother and to drop the bomb on them we decided to go with Adeel.

I was received with warm hugs from the Gidado's as we received there with all his five sisters, four brothers, two mothers and father all present.

"How old are you my dear?" came the first of many expected questions from his step mum Aunty Hajara.

"28" I replied with a tight-lipped smile.

"wow that's quiet young for a successful business owner" she said sitting next to her co wife Aunty Nusaiba as Arif's mother was called

"Whose child is he?" Aunty Nusaiba asked as she bubbly played with Adeel who seemed to cope well with his new surrounding

"He's hers" Arif chirped in seeing as I was just stammering

"Ma shaa Allah he's lovely, are you a divorcee or a widow" she asked

"A divorcee" I replied

"What went wrong with your first marriage?" she asked now shifting her attention to me as she sat Adeel on her lap.

"He was never in love with me but my fathers money and cheated on me with my step sister" I replied memories coming back as tears filled my eyes

"I am sure my Arif will never do that" Said Babagana his father as he walked into the family room.

"I thought him better" He sat patting his back proudly as I noticed his wives and children fix their scarves, he seemed like a strict but loving man.

"Its prayer time people we can continue the chit chat after prayers. Mandera take her to your room to pray " he said smiling at me.

"Yes Abbah" She said as we stood up and headed to a flight of stairs that leaded to a hallway of doors for rooms, it sure looked like a hotel.

"Their is water in the bathroom I'll wait for you" She said opening the door to the bathroom in her room that was quiet simple but elegant in honey brown curtains , floor mats and a beautiful bed sheet that had a blue rose on it. after prayers I sat in her room after helping Adeel pee.

"You're beautiful you know only a blind man would let you go and I am glad my brother had good pair of eyes for the first time" she said arranging her already arranged room.

"Thank you" I said as a smile crept up my lips

"I lost my husband 2 years after marriage and I've been living with just the memories of him" She said sitting down beside me

"May his soul rest in eternal peace" I replied resting my head on her shoulders

"I was in a bad place after he left and only Arif could make me smile and he isn't even my blood brother but I know I would only want him smiling the rest of his life and I am sure you can give him that " She said placing her hand over mine

"Na baki Amana (he's a promise) don't break my trust " She said hugging me"

It was already time to leave and every one looked really gloomy, I was already friends with all of them and they already loved Adeel and he was whinging about leaving.

It was all perfect and his family was set to meet mine in a week.
