Why didn’t anyone try to just summon the Deathly Hallows?
We know that this could work because before we knew for sure that Harry’s cloak was the true cloak of invisibility, in the last book, when they apperate into Hogsmead, the Death Eaters try to summon Harry’s cloak using accio. Harry is able to grab the cloak and hold it so that it doesn’t fly off of them, but if he had not it would have flown right into the Death Eaters hands.
I think no one tried that because it seems too obvious. Like a younger student asking an older student to put their name into the Goblet of Fire. It would have worked but everyone assumed something more magical was necessary. I believe the same happened here. Anyone who believed in the existence of these objects thought them to be extremely powerful. No one would have thought a simple summoning charm would have worked, but if they had tried they probably would have had these objects within their possession.
