Why didn’t the Ministry of Magic call Harry out on underage magic when Crouch Jr. stole his wand and cast the dark mark?
My theory on this unanswered question is very simple. I think that at this point in the storyline they were trying to make this whole thing hush-hush, so by calling Harry Potter, The-Boy-Who-Lived, out on underage magic of casting the dark mark would just blow up this problem. The Ministry all doesn’t hate him at this point. Also, Crouch has a lot of influence at the Ministry and if Harry were called out on the magic anyone could predict that he would pull up the defense of the fact that he wasn’t the one to cast the spell, it was the house elf of a very important Ministry official, and we all know how the Ministry of Magic is about predicting their reputation.
Oh my Rowling! I am a terrible person I know! Please don’t hate me! I know I didn’t update in forever and I’m so so so sorry. I had a bunch of personal stuff going on with my family and really couldn’t find the time or energy to update. I hope to be able to update more now, but I’m not sure how often I will be able to know that school is back in session.
