Why didn’t James make himself secret keeper?
It would make sense, they knew that there was a traitor among the Order, and as much as they want to believe in their friends it would make a lot more sense for James to make himself the secret keeper because he wouldn’t try to get his own family killed. The reason I think that he didn’t do this, could have been because it is possible that a secret keeper cannot be someone that lives within the household, however, Bill was the secret keeper of Shell Cottage and he was head of the household there. This leads me to think that it is most likely that James chose not to be his own secret keeper because he wanted to show his friends that he trusted them with his life, literally.
