Why can’t magic fix Harry’s eyesight so that he doesn’t need glasses?
There are two reasons I have for this. One figurative, one literal. First, J.K. Rowling could have wanted her hero to not be perfect, he had glasses. Just as she had Hermione as bookish and not a stunning beauty, but still beautiful and a hero, Harry was not perfect, but that didn’t matter to his character. The other reason I have is about his eyes; Lily’s eyes. It could have been too painful for many people to look directly into the signature eyes of Lily Potter, so no one offered to do anything about it.
