Driving with Family (ALL)

Finally, the day had come. (Y/N) was waiting in her local DMV, prepared to hear her name. She had been practicing her driving skills ever since she received her beginner's permit. She also had help from some friends. (Y/N) giggled to herself at the new memories she made with the turtles. Their meeting couldn't have been more coincidental. (Y/N) happened to be April's new friend after the whole Irma incident. True that April had a tough time warming up to (Y/N) but soon became close and April came to really trust her. It wasn't long after the turtles had to step in to help April and her friend, revealing themselves. (Y/N) did pass out but instead of April pretending (Y/N) was dreaming, Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo stayed and decided it was an appropriate time to tell (Y/N) the truth and they could always use another ally. Of course, April had to convince them a little, but they still stayed.

Like April, (Y/N) grew close to the guys as well. Leonardo bored (Y/N) to death with his constant training and meditation but they did share one common interest; that interest was Space Heroes. Raphael was difficult to get along with; (Y/N) tried her best not to fight him every day. Although he was a total jerk, there were other times where he was fun, other than watching him get pranked. Donatello was a true puzzle to (Y/N). Most of the things he said made no sense, it was clear he was highly intelligent and (Y/N) couldn't keep up with his foreign language. He was still kind-hearted and as good a listener as he was chatty. (Y/N) and Michelangelo were two peas in a pod; they were the most similar in personality and had the most fun together. They would either be playing games, having endless movie marathons, talk each other's heads off, or (Y/N) would join the great Doctor Prankenstein. They were all a big happy family; Master Splinter and his sons and daughters. Family is always there for each other and (Y/N) could always count on her brothers, kind of like this month. (Y/N) has had her learner's permit for nearly a year and she was finally going to upgrade.

The Turtles were helpful in their lessons (sort of). It was difficult, but they pulled through. (Y/N) chuckled, remembering how they tried to help. (Y/N) came to them one day in the afternoon freaking out about how she had less than a month to take her driver's test. Not that (Y/N) was asking anything of them but Leo offered their services. She questioned if they even knew what to do at a red light and Donnie felt immensely offended and took the "challenge". That same night they went out in the Party Wagon. Leo parked into a wide alley and let (Y/N) take the driver's seat and he moved to the passenger seat while Don, Raph, and Mike stayed in the back. Leo was first to teach (Y/N) and when they heard the engine start a shriek and a crash followed. Everyone's eyes fell on the floor in the very back where a scared Michelangelo laid. He soon controlled his breathing and chuckled nervously as (Y/N) and his brothers stared at him. Donatello's hand collided with his own face to show his annoyance and everyone ignored the formally frightened turtle to focus on (Y/N). "Okay, go ahead and pull out of the alley. Make sure you watch for other cars; they have the right of way," Leo instructed and (Y/N) nodded and did as she was told.

She easily slipped out and onto the main road. (Y/N) never expected Mikey to be such a back-seat driver but (Y/N) could tell he was panicked. Sometimes, (Y/N) would swerve a little just to get a girlish shriek out of him. Leonardo scolded her, but it was so worth it. At the end of their first driving session, Leonardo concluded that (Y/N) was a distracted driver and offered her meditation sessions which Raph muttered a smart aleck comment to. Donatello bragged how he could teach (Y/N) better than Leo which led to Don overseeing (Y/N)'s next driving lesson. Poor Michelangelo was trying to shake off his jitters and swore he'd never join in on another lesson. (Y/N) giggled at the scene before her. She was very appreciative of her new family. Since (Y/N) met the turtles, (Y/N) was almost immediately a new target to Shredder and unfortunately her family were added to the list as well.
