I flipped my D.A. coin around as I waited for Draco to get ready so we could head to the Great Hall. Hermione enchanted the coin so it would reveal the next meeting date, but it looked like a Galleon so it wouldn't be suspicious. Today was the first Quidditch match of the season. It's against Gryffindor, so I have to face my brother. Montague has been slamming us with practices. If someone was using the pitch, we would just go over drills in the courtyard or somewhere else.
"Okay, I am ready to go," Draco announced, walking out of the bathroom in his Quidditch uniform. I grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the room."May I say, you look very hot in your uniform."
I blushed. I wasn't used to his compliments yet.
"I could say the same for you. You've always looked hot."
We walked over to the Slytherin table. Most everyone was wearing a crown badge.
"What are those?" I asked. Blaise smirked and handed us each one. Draco looked alarmed and nervous. I read the button.
Weasley is our king
"Good job, Draco. I don't know how you come up with these things," A Slytherin said walked past. Draco visibly gulped.
"You created these?"
"Uh-"
"Well, at least they aren't insulting."
He sorta of calmed down. I sat down at the table when a giant roar echoed through the room. Looking up, I saw a giant lion head. Luna... I giggled and scarfed down some toast and juice. Halfway through breakfast, my father walked up carrying two broomsticks. The latest Firebolt. Draco and I's eyes widened.
"Just delivered for Mr. Malfoy and Miss. Snape from a Lucius Idiot Malfoy."
The entire table watched amazed. Draco slowly reached out like he was afraid the broom was going to break. I snatched it out of my father's hand and examined in.
"Remind me to never jokingly make fun of your father again."
Draco nodded.
"Good luck you two." Sev walked off.
A few Gryffindors, including Harry and Ron, stared at our new brooms as we walked out.
Only when I started towards the pitch, did I start getting nervous. I passed the Gryffindor team as they were talking.
"Montague also got a new chaser, Luna Snape. Harry, you're her brother, is she any good?" I paused to listen.
"I have no clue. But her and Malfoy got new brooms. The newest Firebolt."
I smirked and walked over to the Slytherin team. They were all admiring Draco's new broom.
"I have a good feeling about this," Montague said, smirking over at the opposing team.
--
"Captains shake hands." The two captains shook hands before stepping back. "Mount your brooms."
I got on my broom and waited for the whistle to blow. Once it did, I shot up in the air and after the Quaffle. I reached it a second before a Gryffindor chaser did. I looped down and around everyone, testing out my new broom's speed.
"LUNA SNAPE HAS THE QUAFFLE! WOULD YOU LOOK AT HER GO! TO BAD SHE IS GOING OUT WITH MALFOY, OTHERWISE SHE WOULD BE QUITE THE CATCH." I laughed and looked over at Lee Jordan to see Draco swoop down and barely miss hitting him in the head. "SORRY NOT SORRY, MALFOY."
I zigzag-ed across the field heading towards the Gryffindor goals. I smiled sadly at Ron before zooming back and forth in front of him.
"SHE IS GOING RIGH-NOPE LEFT-NOW-RIGHT-LEFT! MAKE UP YOUR MIND- SHE SCORES!"
