Chapter 27

Slughorn sent out invitations for a Christmas party. Like last time, I owled Narcissa for a dress. Again she sent back a beautiful dress and a pair of heels that I would break my neck in.

I was going alone. I was going to ask Blaise to go, just as friends, but when I approached him to ask, he just finished asking another Slytherin. George couldn't come to Hogwarts to come with me, so I decided to just go by myself.

I quickly got ready before slipping on my shoes and slipping my wand in a safe spot. I ran my tongue over my teeth, walking towards the door, making sure I didn't have any lipstick on them.

As I walked out of the door, I ran into a wall. I don't remember a wall being here. Why does it smell so good?

"Luna?"
Oh...not a good smelling wall. More like a good smelling and gorgeous Draco.

LUNA! BAD!

"Hey, Draco."
His eyes slowly rolled down my body before heading back up and stopping to stare at "my necklace."

I cleared my throat. "Eyes up here, buddy boy."

Redness crawled its way up his neck and to his face. "Sorry. Where are you heading?"

"Slughorn's Christmas party."

He nodded and avoided eye contact. "You were invited to that too?"

"Yeah. What are you doing up here?"

"You know...just out for a walk." I caught on.

"Oh...well I hope your walk goes okay..."

His eyes flickered to me before going back to the floor. "Thank you. You looked beautiful by the way."

"Thanks, Dray. I'll see you later." I walked away but stopped. I heard him mumble underneath his breath and start walking. "Wait!" My voice betrayed me.

What the hell are you doing!

"Yeah?"

I spun around around on the balls of my feet. "Do you-uh- want to come with me- er- to the party?"

He bit his lip. "Uh- I need to do something quickly...then yeah, sure."

I smiled. "Do you want me to wait or meet you there?"

"Whatever works for you..."

"I'll meet you there."

He smiled and nodded. "I'll meet you there then."

My smile widened. I walked towards the Christmas party.

WHAT THE FUCK, DUDE! WHY DID YOU JUST ASK YOUR EX TO THE PARTY! GEORGE IS GOING TO BE PISSED!

I took a deep breath as I reached the party. I just won't tell him. Its not important. He said I could go with whomever I want if he couldn't make it.

"Luna! Welcome!" Slughorn greeted. I smiled. "Did you bring anyone with you?"

"Uh, he is coming later on."

"Excellent, excellent! Well, enjoy the party! Whoop, gotta take a picture first." I was dragged to his side to in front of a camera. I quickly smiled before it was taken. "Harry is right over there."

I smiled and nodded, walking over to my brother and his date. Luna...

"Sup Luna. Hey, brat." I pulled Harry into a head lock.

He laughed. "Hey there, annoying pesk."

 Luna smiled at me.

"I haven't seen you since the Ministry. How have you been?" I asked her.

"I've been okay. How have you been with your terrible timed breakup, family death and godfather going to prison?"
I bit my lip, trying to hold in a laugh at her bluntness.

"I've been okay as well. I'm actually dating George Weasley."

"Thats neat. Harry needs to ask Ginny."

I laughed as Harry blushed.
