twelve weeks.
baby is about 2.1 inches long and the size of a plum.
'Well this is rough, isn't it.' Wilmer says as holding Demi's hair out of her face as she leans over the toilet. Groaning slightly she leans back against his chest and feels him kiss the top of her head.
'It'll-' He begins and she tilts her head to glance at him.
'If you're about to say it'll be worth it in the end, don't. I will hit you with the nearest thing to me.' She says and he glances to the side of her where he sees a bottle of some sort of cleaning solution.
'I'm sorry.' He replies and she shakes her head.
'Don't apologise; I'm just being a bitch.' She mumbles grabbing some toilet roll and wiping her mouth.
'What do you need me to do?' He asks softly as she lifts a bottle of water and rinses her mouth out.
'Tell me something? Just speak.' She replies, remaining in the same position with her back against his chest. Throughout the past six weeks he's learnt that after throwing up in the morning Demi just needs a little time to sit and get her composure back.
'Apparently by this stage the baby has all the major organs and now just has to focus on growing? How mad is that? You've actually got a little person with organs inside of you who can open and close their fingers?' Wilmer says softy causing her to smile.
'Have you been reading the baby books?' She asks and he shakes his head.
'I've got an app on my phone, the same one you've got.' He replies causing her to smile.
'You're so fucking cute.' She says.
‘Ready to move through to the bedroom?’ He asks and she nods her head. Standing up he puts his hand out to help her off the floor before flushing the toilet and making his way through to the bedroom with her by his side.****
‘Why am I so nervous?’ Demi mumbles as she curls slightly into Wilmer’s side causing him to smile.
‘I don’t know, love. You’ve got no reason to be nervous; this is a good thing, Dems.’ He says quietly and she nods her head.
‘I know but I just- I need to tell my dad.’ She almost whispers causing him to smile.
‘He’ll be happy for you.’ He says causing her to sigh.
‘I just- We’ve not been back together that long and I just- I’m being silly again.’ She replies feeling him kiss the top of her head.
‘You’re not being silly. Why don’t we just tell them right now and get it out the way?’ He suggests and she nods her head. As if on cue Eddie and Dianna make their way into the living room carrying two bottles of water and plate of little snacks.
‘Demi and I actually have some news.’ Wilmer says sitting up slightly causing Demi to actually look at her parents.
‘Yeah? What’s the news?’ Dianna asks passing each of them a bottle of water before sitting down on the sofa across from them.‘I-Wilmer and I are… I can’t do this.’ Demi mumbles glancing up at Wilmer who smiles slightly.
‘We have to sooner or later.’ He says softly and she shakes her head.
‘No we don’t.’ She replies biting her bottom lip.‘What’s going on, Demi?’ Eddie asks.
‘I’m pregnant.’ She blurts out before clamping her hand over her mouth.
‘Y-You’re pregnant?’ Dianna asks and Demi nods her head.‘But you two have only been back together for what? Four months?’ Dianna says.
‘Five months. That’s beside the point, mom. Wilmer and I were together for six years before we split up. We love each other and we want to have this baby.’ Demi replies glancing at Wilmer who smiles slightly.
‘Dad, say something…’ Demi says quietly glancing over at her father who is staring at Wilmer. His eyes flicker to Demi before he stands and leaves the room causing Demi to bite her bottom lip as tears stream down her cheeks.
‘I think we should go.’ Demi whispers and Wilmer nods his head.
‘Okay, love.’ He says.
________
sixteen weeks.
baby is about 4.6 inches long and the size of an avocado.'Are you guys planning on finding out the gender?' Kelsey asks as Demi folds a grey striped swaddle blanket.
'We already know the gender.' Demi replies placing the blanket beside her.
'What? Since when?' Kelsey asks.
'We had the harmony test done at ten weeks and found out then.' Demi replies moving on to fold another swaddle blanket.
'You've known for six weeks and you've not told me.' Kelsey says.
'We've not told anyone, Kels. We don't actually know if we're going to tell people until after the birth.' Demi replies causing Kelsey to sigh.
'What? Why not?' Kelsey asks.
'We were planning on doing like a gender reveal party but I'm not doing it when my dad isn't even talking to me, Kelsey. This is hard enough without having him missing out on something else.' Demi replies.
'I'm sorry, Demi. I didn't even think.' Kelsey says and Demi shakes her head.
'It's okay. I just-I hate that all this is happening without him. I want him to be in their life.' Demi replies running her hand over her stomach.
'And he will be; he just needs some time, Demi.' Kelsey says.
'Its been a month, Kels. I've not heard a word from him in a month.' Demi replies keeping her hand placed on her stomach.
