"Taehyung, I brought you some soup." I say when he answers the door in just a pair of basketball shorts.
"Um, did I wake you up?" I ask as I walk in the house.
"No, I was hot and the house wouldn't cool down. Why are you here alone? I figured Jimin would have wanted to come with you." Taehyung says as we walk to the kitchen together.
"I don't want to talk about Jimin right now. Right now, it's about you. How are you feeling?" I ask, setting the soup down in front of the seat next to me at the breakfast bar.
"Um, good? I woke up throwing up at three this morning and called Jimin at seven and told him I wasn't going to be at school. What happened between you two?" Taehyung asks before slipping a spoonful of soup into his mouth.
"It was nothing. But he said something. Something about you having a secret..." I trail off and Taehyung stops. He puts his spoon down and slams his fist onto the counter. I jump at his sudden reaction. Taehyung stands up and takes a few steps away from the counter, running his hands through his hair. He turns back around with a look of anger on his face.
"What did he tell you about my secret?" Taehyung asks, sitting back down on his stool, facing me.
"He got mad at me for being alone with you. He, he... blew up on me, said some things I don't think he quite meant... then he said that I was falling in love with you but didn't even know your secret." I say, explaining the fight to Taehyung who is sitting there with wide eyes.
"Y-you're falling for... m-me?" Taehyung asks, barely audible.
"I-I don't think so. I don't know. I'll talk to Jin. He can tell me." I say, laughing which brings a smile to Taehyung's face.
"Well, even if you aren't, I appreciate you helping me. Even though it's supposed to be the other way around." Taehyung says, eating his soup again.
"What do you mean?" I ask and Taehyung looks at me with wide eyes and his spoon still in his mouth.
"I mean... I mean that I'm the man. I should take care of you, the woman." He says with an adorable, rectangle smile.
"I appreciate that, but I don't need someone to take care of me. My mom may be around every now and then and she may love me, but she wasn't always there for me, so I had to learn to take care of myself." I say, trusting Taehyung. Which is odd considering I don't like him.
"It doesn't matter if you know how to take care of yourself. I should help you. What do you need to do today?" Taehyung asks as he looks at me. His eyes stay on me as he slurps the rest of his soup down.
"I brought some homework that we can work on..." I trail off.
"Okay, we'll do homework." He says, dragging the back of his hand across his mouth but missing some soup on the corner of his mouth.
"Ugh, you are almost as messy as Namjoon." I say, leaning forward and stretching my arm out to wipe off the soup. He looks at my hand then his eyes roam up my face. He leans forward a little before I back away and run to get my book bag with a blush. All he does is chuckle.
