Shawn's POV
Leaving Bey's house, I felt so empty. I got nothing from her. I couldn't put my finger on it, but she was cold right now. I really expected it, but I guess reality had just sunken in. She was actually going through with her wishes. Even though I didn't exactly know what was happening with us, I knew that she wasn't budging. One thing that I knew about Bey was that she was a very stubborn person. But, right now it felt like we were back to when we first met. Bey was not having anything to do with me. I was patient though. I was patient for years.
I stopped by and grabbed something to eat, figuring that I would go to the house and get some sleep. I hadn't been to the house in a while, so it should be interesting. Rihanna and Melissa had been the only ones frequenting the home, so I didn't expect anything out of the ordinary. I made sure to lock up my office just in case, though.
Pulling up at the house, I got out and went inside. The house was practically spotless. There were a few pamphlets and magazines on the coffee table, but I paid them no attention and started eating.
In the middle of me eating and watching a little television, the doorbell rang. I didn't know anyone was coming over, honestly. I was hoping that it wasn't anyone asking about Rihanna's health. I hated not being able to honestly give answers, but doctors were too busy working to tell anyone anything.
I opened the door and saw Milena, Bey's little sister. "Uh...?" I said with confusion.
"Is Rihanna here?" She asked in a childlike voice.
"She's in the hospital."
The look of horror was plastered upon her face. "What?!" She asked, raising her voice.
While she's doing all this, I'm still wondering why the hell she was at my house looking for Rihanna. "What do you need to see her for?"
She tilted her head. "Nothing. What hospital? Is Melissa with her?"
"Answer my question, Milena," I said sternly.
After Bey had told me about Milena's drug problem, I couldn't just let her walk away. Everything she did was suspicious to me. Coming to see Rihanna when you know your sister isn't fond of her? That's fucked up, honestly.
"Nothing, Shawn. What hospital?" She said while biting down on her lip and looking down.
Bingo!
"You're lying," I told her.
"What?"
"Why do you want to see Rihanna?"
Milena stared at me for a while. I got a bit nervous by this. She wasn't saying anything, just looking at me.
"She's been helping me," she finally said.
"She's been supplying you with drugs?" I asked, shocked.
"No!" Milena angrily protested.
"She's been helping me get off of them. I need to see her."
"Why?"
"If I don't see her...WHERE IS SHE?!" Milena yelled, causing me to back up.
"Milena, yo, calm down. She's unresponsive."
"She dead?"
"She's unresponsive," I repeated.
Milena grabbed at her hair and sighed. Last time I saw her, she had some long hair. Now, she had short hair. Like...really short.
"Shawn," she said practically begging me.
"I'm going to call Bey, okay?" I said, hoping to reason with her. I didn't want to get in the middle of whatever was going on, but I knew that she wouldn't be able to see Rihanna. There was nothing that Rih could do for her right now.
