Beyoncé's POV

After leaving the therapists, Shawn and I decided that we would spend some time together. The kids were with Corey, since he wanted to get a bit of practice in. I thought it was cute. I still couldn't believe that Corey was finally about to start his family. I didn't know what that would do to Shawn, though. At this point, his family should've been started, but it seemed like nothing ever went right with him.

We honestly didn't even make it fully into his house before we were all over one another. Our lips practically crashed into one another as he had me backed against the wall. The eye contact we had earlier was too strong to simply ignore. Our make out session lasted for a while, and I could tell that it would go further.

"Shawn, no," I told him calmly. I didn't want to say it aggressively to upset him or anything.

"No?" He asked to clarify.

"No," I repeated.

Shawn stepped away from me and nodded his head.

"Are you mad?"

Laughing, he shook his head. "Of course not. You hungry?" He asked me as he made his way to the kitchen.

"You're asking that like I'm going to let you cook for me," I replied as I followed him.

"I can cook," he stated.

I erupted into laughter at that. "How many times have we been over this? You can't cook, Shawn."

"Whatever Bayonse, I can cook."

I could tell that Shawn was very serious about this, but I couldn't help to laugh. Shawn's ass couldn't cook worth shit. He could barely make me a sandwich.

"Fine, what you gone cook?"

"What you want?"

I shook my head. "What I want you can't cook."

"Try me!" He challenged.

"Fine. I want salmon with rice pilaf."

Shawn's face turned up at me. "Why you gotta be so damn fancy all the time? I ain't got no salmon."

"Fine!" I managed to get out through laughter. "How about some fried chicken?"

"Good answer. I just learned how to do that."

I stared blankly at him. I should've asked for a sandwich.

As he fried the chicken, the only sounds were those coming from the pan. "I talked to Corey," he said after a while of silence.

"About?" I asked in hopes that they had talked about the baby thing.

"He said he was moving our mom in his house."

I looked at Shawn attentively, attempting to figure out where his mind was with this whole thing.

"How do you feel about that?" I finally asked.

He simply shrugged his shoulders. "I guess us talking gone have to happen one day. Can't go over his house and just pretend like she ain't there."

I nodded my head. "So I'm guessing you didn't go as see her when he told you that she was in the hospital."

Shawn laughed a bit. "Nah."

"You regret it?"

"Not at all. Corey made it seem like she was on her death bed. I don't want my last memory of her being seeing her laid up in a hospital."

"I can understand that, Shawn, but I think you still should have went to see her."

"Would you have gone to see your mom?"
