ik the date for this chapter has NOTHING to do w valentine's day but it lines up quite nice if you ask me

Sigh.
I couldn't stop thinking about Thomas all weekend.

Today, we start sword fighting for It's Goin 'Down. We were just going to learn the general movements and how to sword fight but we would start choreographing later. They still have to build the sets for It's Goin 'Down and You and Me since they both include boats, but It's Goin' Down will take longer because they have to build the dock too.

Learning and choreographing sword fighting should only take two to three weeks. After that, we start with the actual film and acting. All I know so far is that we're gonna film the first scene Cotillion, since it's the biggest. After that, I have no idea.

Sword fighting is actually fun. It's harder than I thought though. There is a lot of wrist control that goes with it. We spend 8 hours a day for 10 days and it has managed to get my mind off Thomas, but once we stopped, my brain was flooded with thoughts correlated to him. There's something about him, it's not fair. No one should be made like that. 

It was our lunch break, and I was grabbing food. While I was in line, Thomas, of all people, walked up to me. "Hey Dove, can we talk?"

I was a little confused but I looked over to Sofia, Cameron, and BooBoo first because I normally eat with them but I nodded and followed him.
I could practically feel the other three staring holes into the back of my head.

I ignored them for the time being and followed him until we got to my trailer. "What're we doing here?"

"Privacy. I wanted to ask you something." he hesitated. "I was wondering ... do you want to maybe go on a date sometime?"

My eyes widened. The Thomas Doherty was asking me out? I must be dreaming.
He must've noticed my hesitation because he started rambling. "I mean you don't have to. I was just asking because I think you're really cool and we've been getting along and I like you and--" I interrupted him by grabbing his hand. "Don't worry, I'd love to."

He sighed with relief. "Oh thank god, I was so nervous. We'll talk soon." he smiled and walked off, leaving me with a dopey grin on my face.

When I went back inside, only Sofia was at our regular table. "Hey," she sounded concerned. "what happened?"

I still have the biggest smile on my face. "He asked me out."

"Who? Thomas?" Nodded at her confused face and her face lit up. "No way! Congrats! When is it?"

"I don't know, he said we'll talk soon." I squealed. "I'm so happy! He's like such a good person. I'm just scared that everything happened before he's gonna happen again."

"And I'm happy for you, but you can't dwell on that. This is a fresh start, live in the moment."

"Thanks Sof," I smiled and gave her a hug. "I'm so glad to have a friend like you."

Dove: dovely? thats new

Thomas: It's like lovely, yeah and just thought of it now
Thomas: so. about that date. we are so busy now, and just thought like a morning coffee thing, then we can just go and hang it all day. ik it's not the grandest, but your thoughts?

Dove: dont worry, that sounds fun

Thomas: are you sure? could always rain check

Dove: we're just gonna get busier so time goes on, id rather not wait

Thomas: ok, if you say so. saturday morning, noon. that ok?

Dove: perfect, see you tomorrow

Thomas: see ya dovely
