We had spent the past week practicing sword fighting and learning the choreo for It's Goin' Down.
Thomas ended up breaking a few swords.
But that's beside's the point.
Anyways.
It's also been a little over a week since my date with Thomas.
Nothing has changed between us. We talk as normal with bits of flirting incorporated. Now it's spread to the entire cast and crew thinking we'd e cute together.
Anyway, today we film the Cotillion scene, since it's the biggest. The ending dance number would be filmed after all the acting because it involves our costumes getting wet. The scene before is basically an event for Mal and Ben's new "reign", I guess. Just to have a gathering with the school. But Uma makes her way to the boat while the VK's leave the Isle and casts a love spell on Ben so she can bring down the barrier surrounding The Isle of the Lost. At first, Mal is heartbroken, but realizes Ben was spelled and breaks the spell by kissing him, a true loves kiss, if you will. Uma jumps off the boat and turns into an octopus, I guess. I end up transitioning in a dragon, but we have to animate those, so we used tennis balls to locate the eyes. After Uma swims away, we just have huge flash mob to You and Me. One choreographed and one freestyle.
We had spent the past 4 hours tweaking and recording the scene trying to get the perfect and best take. Currently, it was our lunch break so I was sitting at a table eating, waiting for Sofia.
"Hey beautiful."
I looked up to see Thomas in front of me, making me smile. "Hey Tommy. What's up?"
"Since we have a free day Thursday, I was wondering if you wanted to do something Wednesday night."
"Sure, I'd love to. What're we doing?"
"It's a surprise. But I can promise you'll enjoy it."
'Tommy, I hate surprises." I groaned.
"I know, but it'll be worth it, I promise." he smirked and walked away.
Right as he walked away, Sofia walked up to the table. "Why was he here?"
I groaned and put my head down on the table. "We're going out Wednesday night but he won't tell me where.
She laughed. "I know you hate surprises too. But I know it'll be fun. Just keep in mind he's a sappy person, so expect something."
