chapter four

REY'S POV

Dagobah. It sounds familiar. I think I've heard it in my dreams before. A swampy, dark planet. I rush over to the window just in time to see us reach the orbital range. All of the sudden, feelings of unbalance hit me in rough waves. It's painful, and it's strong. I cry out; not because it hurts because my senses are opening up because of this planet. The boys rush over me, and the feeling subsides. It doesn't go away, but it's not as overwhelming.
"Rey!" Finn exclaims and places his hands on my shoulders worriedly.
I take his hands off gently and grimace.
"I'm fine. Just a migraine I think," I say in attempt to placate him. But one of them isn't convinced.
"You're lying, Rey," Poe says. He looks concerned, not worried. After all, we only just met.
"What really happened? We entered orbit, you rushed to the window, and then you screamed. That's not just a migraine, or a coincidence."
He's observant. He has to be, after all he is a pilot. We have to be able to observe and adapt in the field. Finn isn't satisfied with my excuse anymore, and the worry has returned to him. I sigh, and tell him what I can about what I felt.

"I've seen this place before. Dagobah. Only in dreams, but I've seen it. When we entered orbit, I felt something. Not darkness or light. Just-" I struggle to describe it.
"Imbalance, I guess. And it was strong. And clearly overwhelming." I finish, and look to Finn. He says nothing, but his expression says it all. I glance up at Poe. Our eyes meet for a second, then he darts his away, and rubs his temples. He paces back and forth, deep in thought. Then the silence breaks with hisses from the ship. We're landing now. Poe topples over from the impact of the landing, nearly crashing into me. He takes my arm for support, and I cover his hand with mine to help. The ship lands, and Poe gives my arm a quick squeeze before removing it.
"Thanks," He says, out of breath.
"No problem," I reply, and add a smile into my response. He returns my smile with one of his. His edges of his eyes crinkle and laugh lines show around his mouth. He's got a great smile.
