Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times,
if one only remembers to turn on the light.-Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter.

People, dead and alive, were brought down from the crosses that were standing on the square in Polis. Blood was all over the ground and some people were even covered in it, dried and fresh. The sight was disgusting and Scarlett was shocked at how much damage a chip had done.
The blonde, who was covered in blood herself (mainly from Ontari), turned around when she heard footsteps coming from behind her, their feet landing in a puddle mixed with water and blood. She didn't open her mouth to greet them, neither did Bellamy and Clarke. Bellamy grabbed her hand and stood beside her, looking at his sister who was talking with Indra in the distance. Clarke joined her sister on her other side offering her a tiny smile that didn't quite reach her eyes and then looked at Bellamy.
"She'll be okay." Clarke spoke up, "Octavia can take care of herself." It was an act of reassurance but from the looks of it, it hadn't reassured Bellamy as much as she had hoped.
"That's not what I'm worried about." He was still looking at his sister as he said that, an extremely worried expression edged on his face as he was worried for what was to come.
"It's a fact that Pike had it coming, Bell. If I were in her situation and he had put a bullet through your head--" Scarlett frowned as images of a dead Bellamy flashed through her head and she shook her head, "--I would've done the same. He committed cruel crimes, killed hundreds of people that didn't even deserve it, that wanted to help us. No, she won't be charged."
"Maybe we all had it coming." He closed his eyes for a second and Scarlett gave him an assuring squeeze in his hand. As always, Bellamy felt instantly calmer at her touch. He tore his gaze from Octavia and looked at his girlfriend, adoration evident in his eyes and squeezed back.
Their moment was short lived when Clarke spoke up. "How do we tell these people that the world is ending after everything they've been through?" Her eyes were scanning their surroundings, her eyes falling on all the people that just been through hell and thrown right back in it.
"We don't." Bellamy stated, he too looking around. Scarlett frowned and looked up at him, Clarke doing the same. "Not until we know ALIE was telling the truth."
"I don't think she would lie about something that big." Scarlett pointed out at the same time that Clarke said that ALIE had spoken the truth.
Bellamy looked both girls in the eye, "Still, we keep it to ourselves until we know what we're dealing with and how to stop it." Scarlett frowned and nodded, because the was a big truth and question in what he just had said. What will be the end of the world and how were they going to stop it? Scarlett wasn't even close to having an idea.
Clarke, not even trying to procrastinate what Bellamy had said, replied stubbornly. "You're afraid of how people will react?"
"Yes, besides I could use a break from keeping you alive." Scarlett made a noise in agreement, causing Clarke to smile for a fraction of a second. "We gave them back their pain, Clarke. Let's not add to that by telling them they're gonna die in six month."
"Well, it's not like they can blame us. I mean, they took that chip to don't feel their pain anymore." Scarlett shrugged. She wouldn't mind telling them at all but she agreed with Bellamy on having a break. They could all use one.
Clarke shook her head, "Thank you. For keeping me alive. The both of you." She told them as she returned her gaze to a pile of dead bodies and crying people all over the place.
