Ben's POV
I never thought that I would get expelled. I had it all, friends, a ton of experience on five different missions, and fame across the CIA. I was the second best junior spy on campus and I had saved the president's life, twice (although not very proud of it.). And, I never thought I would be stabbed in the back by one of my "friends"
"Hey man, want to go to the arcade after school?" a voice behind me asked, Mike, my best friend, "I have plenty of tokens I've been stocking up on over the years."
"Sure" I replied, I had nothing to do.
"Awesome"
After school was over, I walked to the arcade to meet Mike. Then, the terrorist attacked. I jumped back and tripped over the shovel that was lying on the ground. The terrorist pulled out a knife and walked towards me. I could see their eyes gleaming under the mask. I pulled out the shovel I had tripped over and attempted to swing it at my attacker, but they ducked away and punched me in the stomach. I groaned and attempted to grab the nearest thing I could find, a stick, but the attacker kicked the stick away and stomped on me. I knew the fight was over. I attempted to get up, but they kicked me and I fell down again. I tried to get up again, but with the same result.
"Please don't kill me, I'm only a child," I pleaded for.
The attacker scoffed at this, and then pulled off their mask. Erica, the most beautiful, stubborn, and dangerous girl I knew. I immediately tried to ask a million questions at once, but before I could ask any of them, my self preservation teacher and the principal got up from out of the bushes.
"Mr. Ripley, you are hereby expelled from the CIA junior training academy for getting a grade lower that a D -"
I was shocked, shocked how, after all of the successful mission i had been on, I was expelled, shocked at how quickly it all came crashing down, and shocked that Erica had agreed to attack me and get me expelled.
"Why would you do this?" I asked.
"We have to follow school rules, Mr. Ripley, and you just got an F in self preservation.
I looked to Erica, hoping that she would defend me, or at least suggest that the CIA was doing something wrong. Instead, she said nothing and gave me a cold stare. I was shocked.
"No comment?" I said, then waited for a second. I looked at Erica, she stared, emotionless, "No comment at all?" my voice was rising, it was hard to control my anger. "NONE of you have any comment, maybe a 'WERE SORRY TO EXPEL YOU AND KILL YOU DREAMS'?" I looked back at Erica and took a deep breath. "You know what you are doing is wrong, it is not in the interest of our nation, please, you know what is right," I said, my voice still very shaky. Erica gave no reply. "Gese, you're a real piece of work" I said to Erica. I scoffed at all of them. " when do I start packing?" I asked.
"You must leave the school grounds before 9:00 am." Erica replied.
"Oh, so now you speak." I stared bullets at her, then I looked the principal.
"You are not to ever speak of this schools existence, on penalty of death," the principal said, he continued, " you must leave school grounds before 9:00 am, on penalty of death. I expect that if you break any of these rules, it would be very easy to find and kill you."
I walked back to my room.
