DEREK POV

The rain fell down as we all stood around sick with worry. The only sound in the house was that of violent raindrops beating out a lonely tune against the windows and roof. Isaac and Scott sat on the sofa in the Winchester's home. I honestly was so upset I remained still and quiet out of fear that I might hurt someone. Dean kept pacing the living room, back and forth, back and forth, not saying a word. It would have been easier if he had just come out and told them how disappointed he was, announced a punishment and move on to the next step. But he wanted them to apologize, or explain, or something. Finally Scott broke not being able to stand the silence anymore.

"I didn't think he'd climb out the window" Dean was still mute, walking the same pattern in the floor. Stiles slipped from Scott's watch and had now been missing for a good five hours now. It had begun to rain and I couldn't help thinking he was out somewhere in the cold. My restraint was faltering, holding on only by a thread. I clenched my fists turning my knuckles white. Cas was leaning in the door frame the look of worry clear across his face. I figured they'd try to wait them out.

Dean seemed to had finally broke opening up his mouth to scold the two teens. He was stopped quickly by the creaking sound of the front door being pushed open. Stiles came sulking in wet and damp soaking in rain water. His lips had be tinted with a slight hint of purple, and were shivering from the cold.

"Stiles!"

"What happened?"

"I blacked out after I climbed from the window. When I woke up it was raining and I was walking in a field. I came straight here" he was different, a little emotionless. He spoke in the same flat tone, and walked straight up. Not hunched and quick paced as usual. I pushed all this aside to run and pull him into my arms heating his body.

I spoke burying his head into my chest to warm his pink nose "Kate. It has to be her"

His parents moved quickly to their son. Dean took Cas's hand in his and told me "Sam is coming tonight. We'll canvas while you all stay here with Stiles"

STILES POV

I watched. Through the eyes of the clone she made me watch. Every interaction it made everytime someone spoke to him believing it to be me. Who could blame them? It was a spitting image of me. One thing it could never copy though was my personality, and I was hoping someone would notice.

Right now I watched the clone as he stood in my room. He had just finished changing into clean clothes and was toweling at his damp hair. Several times he glanced around the room trying to familiarize himself with my life.

"Hey" Derek hummed coming into view. These interactions were the hardest to watch, Derek was my boyfriend and I had to watch this thing play with his head while I watched.

"Hi" it said back.

"How are you doing? Remember anything yet?"

"No nothing. It's a bit frustrating"

"I know. But we'll catch Kate and all of this will be over" he opened his arms and enveloped the clone in a hug, but the clone didn't hug back at least not at first. "Baby? Are you sure you're okay?"

One thing this clone seemed to lack aside from my personality, was the ability to fake emotion "Peachy. I'm just really tired"

"Of course, take a nap and I'll be downstairs" Derek smiled leaving the room.

I laughed to myself. I thought it was silent but I came to find I was a bit hysterical when Kate, once again appeared from the shadows "What's so funny?"

This was the perfect time to wipe away a fake tear for dramatic affect, but my hands were still bound. So I just threw my head back chuckling slightly still "You really should have had a little rehearsal with your toy thing" I finally spoke "It acts nothing like me, and soon they're going to catch on. Derek certainly has, he's probably downstairs telling everyone about how 'weird' I'm being"

"Oh I'm counting on it. See this was just a temporary plan until I got the spell right"

"What spell?"

"All in good time my boy. It won't be long now" she smiled tilting her head towards the screen where 'fake' Stiles' point of view was being projected. He had climbed out the window and looked to be heading for the loft.

"What's so special at the loft?"

"Everything you and Derek have ever shared is there. And it's where I'm going to ruin you" she was the one who was laughing now as she stalked towards me. I held my breath as she blew something into my face knocking me out.

When I woke up we were back in Derek's loft. The shackles were gone, but I still couldn't move. I tried nonetheless.

"I wouldn't just yet"

"Where's the other me?" I couldn't see through his eyes anymore, I wanted to know.

"His services were no longer needed" She smiled a wicked smile I was now familiar with "Now the real fun is about to begin"

Again with the herbs was the last thought I had as I watched her pull another bottle from her coat jacket.

DEREK POV

Stiles was acting odd since he came back home. First the cold voice and posture, now he was acting like a stranger to my touch. When I tried to hug him it was like he was arguing with himself trying to figure out if he should hug me back or not. I tried to push the feeling out of my head, but everytime I did it came back stronger. It had to be the mate bond telling me something, and after a long debate I decided to go back up and check on him. But when I got up the room I could hear his heartbeat. The thumping of his heart had disappeared, and when I opened his room door I came to find that he had too.

"Stiles is gone!" I shouted down the stairs

"What!" Isaac and Scott called out in unison. I ran back down the stairs and out the door getting a lock on his scent.

"Call Dean. I'll follow the scent, you stay here in case he comes back"

The trail of his smell lead me all the way to my loft building. My wolf howled in arnger the entire time, Kate had gone to far this time targeting my mate. I was out for blood, her blood. I slid past the big iron door to the apartment, and there she was. Kate was standing in the middle of the loft, Stiles not too far ahead of her. His eyes were blank, like he was stone.

"Let him go Kate" faster than I had expected Cas and Dean were in the loft standing beside me.

"What did you do to my son?" Cas all but yelled.

"Did you know, that with the right combination of herbs and spices you can control everything a spark does? Even powerful ones like Stiles" she whispered in his ear and his eyes were quickly enveloped in darkness. Slowly he advanced towards us. He stopped midway closing his eyes concentrating. Out of the corner of my eye I seen Cas hunched over and clutching his chest. He fell to his knees gasping for air the veins in his neck popping. When Stiles opened his eyes again they were burning a vibrant purple. He rose his hands deepening the effect he had on Cas.

"Stiles!" I yelled "You're killing him"

Then Dean began "Stiles! Enough!"

Kate laughed "Oh. He can't hear you sweetie" I lunged for her and she jumped back extending her arms in defense "Ah ah ah, I wouldn't if I were you. See right now I've got the power and can crush your mate with a single word" at this I stopped and turned slowly back to Stiles whose reign on his father was coming to an end. Cas collapsed to the floor and went limp. Dean was still by his side. Just as Stiles began to shift back to normal Sam busted through the doors. Like the rest of us, he was to late

"What have you done?" Sam asked. At this point we had not known if it was directed towards Stiles or Kate

"Why isn't he healing?" He looked up at Kate who smirked and jumped from the window "Cas, talk to me please" He shook the limp body of his husband and was faced without a response.

I ran to Stiles who fell limp as well, I assumed from the strength of the spell Kate had on him. I was scared he was dead too. But unlike his father his heart was still beating.
