Back when Zelda was about to end Calamity Ganon he used a tiny bit of his power against her. That power he used corrupted the Triforce. The Triforce was destroyed. That day the Triforce was gone never to return. Calamity Ganon's power turned the destroyed Triforce into a Tetraforce. The fourth piece being the Tetraforce of Darkness. His plan was the weilder of the Tetraforce would resurrect him. While he did this the Hero and the Princess had no idea this happened. The Hero now held the Tetraforce of Courage and the Princess held the Tetraforce of Wisdom. But they did not know it, they merely thought it was their Triforce pieces. However this would effect Zelda's 2 daughters and the new Hero of Hyrule.
