Y/N woke up and went into the kitchen surprised to see a note.

It read: out with Corl see ya around 11. -Lane

You checked your watch it was 10:55.
The door flung open. "Hey!" Lane said "What's up!" She had her makeup already done and clothes on. It was rare to see her up and happy at this hour. "Hey, So you were with Corl?"
Y/N said. "Yea," She said putting her bag and to-go box down. "I have something to tell you." She said in a serious voice. "What?" Y/N asked. You handed her a cup of coffee and you both sat on the couch. "Well," she said sipping her coffee "Corl and I are..." she paused and smiled for a second, "dating!" She put her coffee down and smiled. Y/N just sat still looking off into the distance. "Y/N?" Lane said grabbing your shoulders. "That's great!" You said. "What's wrong?" Lane said. "Oh. Nothing! I'm fine!" You said and you set your drink down. "I'm gonna get dressed." You said and went to your room. You shut the door behind you and sat down on your bed with a sigh. "I need to tell her about Denis and I but I don't know what to call it." You thought. You get a call from Denis.
Denis: hey!
Y/N: hey Dingo, what's up?
Denis: not much but I was wondering if you would like to go to lunch with me today?
Y:N: sure! Sounds good!
Denis: okay meet me in one hour at Chips.
Y/N: okay see you there!

You couldn't believe that you were going on a date with Denis!! You got up and got dressed pretty quickly. You did your makeup and once you were done you checked the time. "20 minutes!" You thought. "I need to get going soon!" You hate being late. You walk into the living and see Lane. "Laney, I need to tell you something." You said. Lane turns. "Um, last night..." You stuttered. "...um I decided to go to lunch with Denis today!" You said nervously. You knew that she could tell that you changed the sentence. "Oh, great! Well tell him I said hello." Lane said confused. "Are you sure nothings wrong?" Lane said. "YES! Nothing is wrong!!! I'm great." You said slowly with a fake smile. You walk out of the apartment with just your phone, forgetting your keys. You walk to your car and realize that you don't have your keys. "Oh shoot!" You think. "Well I'm not going back up there and talking to Lane again... I guess I have to call Denis." You call him and ask him if he can just pick you up when he's ready, he agrees and you wait. Soon after talking on the phone with him he shows up. "Hop in." He says with a smirk. You get in and he starts to drive. "So what's going on?" He asks. "Well I forgot my keys!" You say. "Also did you know that Lane and Corl are dating?" "Really!!?!" He says. "Yea." You said. "I always thought that Tori would date him but I guess not. "Did he like her?" You ask. "Yea, he used to talk about her a lot and he really wanted to take her on a date but he just never really asked." Denis said. "Oh." You say. "Tori really liked him too." You say. "I bet." Denis said. It's quiet for a while in the car and the car stops at a long stop light. "So do you really like me?" Denis asks. You sink back into your seat in shock. You think about what he just said and you don't know how to answer it. "Do I really like Denis?" You ask yourself. "I think so." You nervously say. "Oh okay." He says. You instantly realized that you didn't say the right thing. "I'm sorry, umm I do like..." he cut you off. "It's okay Y/N." He says smiling. Do you really like me?" You ask back. "Do I really like you?" He repeats. "... (TO BE CONTINUED)
