[WARNING STEAMY SCENES AHEAD]I stood over by the doorway, looking over at my sister Piper with her mate. She was trying to help heal him. She never left his side unless I told her so. She stayed with him, slept in the bed with him, she saved his life. And she was still covered in his blood.
"Hey Pip," I say from the doorway, "Maybe you should take a shower and changed your clothes."
"I can't be away from him for that long, Spenny." Her smile fades at the thoughts of loosing her mate.
"Piper, I'm right here. I'll send someone to get you if anything changes. Just 10 minutes, that's all you need. A quick shower and to change out of those scrubs." I go over to her and hold her shoulder. "Please, for your own sanity."
She nods her head in agreement then heads out, giving Gerard a quick kiss on his forehead. She truly loved him. Something that I'd never been able to see in her before. I look around the room and find his charts. I take a look over them, flipping between his medication and what his wounds were.
"Any chance for a sexy nurses outfit?" The Prince chuckles at the door. I look up and roll my eyes. "How is he doing? I got here as fast as I could."
"He's stable. His wounds were all fixed and they are starting to heal. He might have some scarring, but that's usual." I close the charts and place them back into there place. "Why are you here?"
"Because he is my friend." The Prince admits.
"Pretty sure you have a lot of friends, your highness." I state.
"Please, Spencer, call my Drew. I hate it when people use my title." He uses my name for the first time ever in two years of knowing each other. It's usually Croft or my rank. Maybe even sexy or beautiful, any name besides my own. I had to admit my wolf and I both approved of him using it. Although I had to scold myself because I was in love with Derrick, not Drew. But something changed out on the battle field, in the last couple of days.
"Well, Drew," I can see him smirk, "I'm here. So you can go. You should be resting."
"So should you, you've been shot with wolfsbane bullets. How are you standing?" He walks over to me and looks at my bandaged shoulder. He gently touches it, taking off the bandages and unwinding them. His touch is soft, gentle and it sending me into a frenzy.
"Drew," I whisper out, "I'm fine."
"I love it when you call my name." He whispers back to me, our faces lean in and my heart and head don't think about Derrick in this moment. It only wants Drew. Mere centimetres from each other's lips, a noise catches us by surprise and we pull away.
"Oh crap, only I would knock that over." Piper comes into the room and stares at us. "Did I interrupt something?" She raises an eyebrow.
"They love each other." A cough comes from behind us and we all see Gerard trying to get up.
Piper rushes over to him. "Hey, handsome," she smiles, almost bursting with tears, "take your time."
"I already love you so much and I don't even know your name, beautiful."
"Piper." She kisses his forehead in relief.
Gerard looks at me. "The famous Piper I've been hearing a lot about," he chuckles but winces at the pain.
Piper looks over at me and raises an eyebrow. "How much have been telling people about me?" She giggles.
"Only the good stuff, I swear." I admit, I turn and look at Drew. "Maybe we should give the love birds some privacy." I grab his arm and then remember I shouldn't have used that arm. I wince from my pain and Drew immediately gets me some attention to help fix my arm better.
