[AN : This chapter is dedicated to Clamarmirsar, thank you for reading my story and giving me the confidence that it actually isn't that bad!]I stood there, shaking my head thinking how the fuck I got myself into this situation. I'm standing in a room and I have a male roommate. Apparently, they thought I was a guy with my name and because I'm Former General Spencer Croft the first, that I'd be a man because my dad named me after himself.
"Christiansen?" I ask, knocking on the door that's opened.
"Croft?" He turns around, smirking at me. He reaches out his hand. "Pleasure to meet you."
"Pleasure." I give him a firm and quick shake before dumping my bags on the remaining bed. I look around and see he's already started unpacking and the room smells like him. MY nose sniffs the air and realises it's a male stench. I smell power from him.
"Sorry about the mess, my grandpa tells me I'm a messy person. Even my dad does."
"No, I get it." I place my hands up, showing I understand. I start to unpack my backs.
"You're Spencer Croft's daughter aren't you?" He asks.
"That I am, Spencer Croft the second." I say, chucking some items into the draws provided.
"Gerard Christiansen the Second, your dad helped capture my aunts killer."
I turn around, my eyes are wide open. "You mean Winter Christiansen? Fuck, dude, she's my hero."
He chuckles. "My dad wanted to name me after her, but instead I get named after my grandpa. I like it actually. We are similar in looks and behaviours. He says I'll make a great Alpha someday, like himself. You might even get to meet him, he is around somewhere in the barracks."
"Alpha Christiansen," I stand up and give him a bow, "it's an honour.
My head starts to focus on the Gerard that's in front of me and not the Gerard that I met in our rooms, all but four years ago. Gerard Senior and Gerard Junior did look so much a like, it's uncanny. However, Senior had aged well and Junior still had his youthful looks.
"Oh please, Gerard is fine." He smiled.
"Well, Gerard Senior, it's a pleasure to finally meet you." I take a seat back on the bench. I look up at the statue that was of Winter. I smile, admiring her beauty and the fact that I'm in her presence.
"My grandson tells me Winter is one of your heroes."
I look back at him. "She is, besides my late father."
"General Croft Senior, I met him once. He helped with capturing my daughters killer." There was some sadness that came across, a little hurt and betrayal as well.
There were stories and rumours about her death, but nothing ever was confirmed by the royal household. All I knew is she saved our Queens life, by taking a bullet for her. I did that, with Drew. I took a bullet from his body and then I took a bullet for him, I dived in front of him as he was helping someone move across the battlefield whom had been injured,
"I'm sorry you had to meet him under those circumstances."
Gerard senior continues to pot around the garden. "I come here daily, fixing her headstone and that of my late mates. She asked me to do it, prior to her death."
I look at him, he was a sad man. "Do you need any help with that?"
"Oh no, dear. It's fine. I'm just finishing up." He picks up the small hand shovel and then paces it in the towel box. I look at him and start to ponder, he knew his daughter better than anyone.
