Ella strides down the dirt path, her feet kicking up dust from the ground as she kicks at a loose rope. Trees hang above her like a canopy. It was a gentle kind of cool.

Birds tweet over head, and unseen animals were hiding and readying themselves for winter. It was late fall and the forest floor was littered with an array of different warm colors of fallen leaves.

It was only fall. And yet the air was becoming nippy as the days past.

Life was full and lovely in this forest, despite the darkening afternoon. Life itself, was beautiful here. And it was peaceful, yet there was a hint of mischief in this place. A feeling that wrapped her up and made her smile. She could feel it.

The sides of her mouth tilt upwards. "Loki?"  she says breaking the peaceful silence. She whips around, a presence from behind her catches her attention and sure enough, Loki god of mischief stands behind her, his hands folded back behind his arms. A large smile spread across his young face.

"My dear Ella." he murmurs smiling. "How was your lessons.... school, I mean." he corrects himself with a little smile and takes a smooth couple of steps towards him.

She closes the distance between them until she stood 4 feet in front of him. She was excited to see him. "Pretty good." she replies.

Loki chuckles slightly. "Ah.... very specific I see," he holds up his chin. "Have you been practicing?"

Ella bites her lower lip and steps up onto a nearby log. "Yes....." she says nervously.

Loki crossed his arms and knits his thin eyebrows together. "What happened?" he presses immediately, yet there was amusement in his voice.

She glances back over at him, unable to meet his gaze. "Uhhh... I uh, I blew down a tree, and shrunk my friend."

He began to speak but she held up her hand before he could say anything.

"But! I re-grew her, and erased her mind. And the tree.... well, let's just say may it forever rest in peice."

Loki shook his head groaning. "Oh dear.... Ella, what is our number one rule!?!" he exclaims, laughing. He sounded like an old broken record.

Ella plops onto an old tree trunk. She runs her hands through her pale blonde hair. "Don't perform magic in front of other people, unless you have mastered the trick. And don't destroy stuff..." she grumbles, barley loud enough for him to hear.

He nods, visibly frustrated at her.

"I know, and I'm sorry." she groans looking up at him.

He lets out a sigh, and slowly and gracefully walks over to her, taking a seat beside from where she sat. Her tilts his head to stare at her. How she had grown. She was still young and still a child to him.

"How's your brother?" she breaks the silence as abs fiddles with a deep orange leaf.

He lets out a heavy sigh and stares off into the seemingly endless forest. "His normal self. Hardheaded and crazy. Nothing new.... Fathers favorite." He states bluntly, a bit of stale remorse to his tone.

Ella pretended not to notice and tucks a loose strand of hair behind her ear. She bites her lower lip. "Do you think-"

He stops her before she could even start. "No, no, no. You are not going to Asgard. No one knows about you, and we will keep it that way. I don't want you to get into any trouble. You get yourself into enough trouble as it is." he seems suddenly frightened by the thought, his voice turning a sudden kind of stern.
