Days pass, and Loki drowns himself in books, attempting to evade his mind of all thoughts of Ella. He doesn't want to erase his mind of her. He could never bring himself too. It's too hard.

......And they lived happily ever after.

Loki abruptly shuts the book a scowl growing upon his face. False book. Fairytales. Oh they all lived happily ever after. He looks at his feet as he walks the golden halls of Asgard surround him in a non-comforting way.

No one lives happily ever after. Or at least not him.

"Loki!"

Loki sighs, walking faster. Thor hurries to catch up. He grabs his shoulder to face him. "What is wrong with you? You've been avoiding every one." He says his deep voice filling the hall.

Loki gives him a blank expression. "I got into reading."

Thor scoffs. "No more lies Loki. Tell me what happened!" He shakes his shoulders, causing Loki to drop his book.

Loki shakes him off and quickly retrieves it. "Please Thor, leave me alone, you have more important things to do." He pushes him off him and begins walking again.

"Loki!!" Thor hisses, once again grabbing his arm. "You were so happy until recently. What happened? Who were you with?"

Loki slowly parts his mouth, but closes it deciding against his thoughts. "I was meeting with a young girl. She was my Godchild. She was a lovely girl, bright spirit, a smile always painted on her face..." he smiles, and continues, aware of him opening old wounds. "Her parents didn't approve of me from the start. But two years ago, I got bored and went to see her again. We became close. She's like a daughter to me. Recently, she told her parents.... and they disapproved. I can never see her again."

Thor is silent.

So Loki walks away, and yet again Thor follows.

"Who is this woman?"

"Child." Loki corrects sternly. "She's from...... Midgard." He figures if he knows this much, he might as well know the rest.

"Midgard? How do you get to Midgard? I never see you leave through the bifrost, father would never allow it!"

He nods. "I know, " Loki whispers softly smirking. "But she's everything to me. Even if I am young, she's like a daughter to me Thor. Anyone knowing about her, can put me, and the Royal family in danger. Put her in danger, Thor! That's not a risk I'm willing to take."

Thor steps back and sighs. "Fine, but be wary. And I'm sorry." He pats him on the back. "It's okay brother, I'm sure everything will turn out in the end."

Loki looks up at him and nods, not believing in the slightest.
