Barney's POV

After a bit of just talking I told her I needed to record. We said our good byes and I watched her walk down the hall and around the corner. I shut the door to my office and turned on my recording light.

"Alight" I whispered to myself as I set up all my equipment needed.

I wish we could just go back to the way before she lost her memories. We were so happy, and everything felt normal. Now it just feels different.

I sighed as I logged into my account and turned in the camera.

"Hey Guys!"
—————

"Ready for lunch," I asked walking into her office.

She spun around in her chair "I've been expecting you."

I rolled my eyes "Yeah yeah. Come on already, I'm hungry."

She laughed "You're no fun, you know that?" She lightly shoved me into the door as she passed me.

"That was rude, and unprofessional."

"And since when is this place known for its professionalism?"

I smiled as I followed behind her "That is a fair point my lady."

She turned around so she walking backwards "Okay so I don't wanna be a third wheel with you and Gertrud, so is it just gonna be us?"

I laughed and rolled my eyes "Sadly Gertrud is to cancel. She had to meet up with Goat and plan something. But maybe next time you can tag along with us, see how amazing she really is."

"I'm good, thanks." She said as she turned around.

"And you call me no fun," I responded sarcastically.

"You wanna fight, fight me mate."

I put my hand up in a fighting position "I'll fight you, let's go."

"Nah, too easy. But thanks for the offer," she replied and kept walking like before.

I put my hands down and sighed "You just threatened to fight me, how is it too easy?"

"I don't know, you would never hurt me. That makes it too easy," she explained as she pulled the door open for us.

"Honestly, you make things way too complicated."

"Imma take that as a compliment and just pretend that that's your way of saying 'wow Y/n you're such an amazing person and I'm so happy that you've decided to bless us with your presence'" she lowered her voice as she pretended to be me.

"I do not  sound like that, that is offensive to me and my rights."

"Oh please, you're fine," she said as she ran ahead to the other door, opened it and then closed it before I could get out of the door.

I laughed "That's what I call childish."

"As my loving brother said this morning, I think it's good in this line of work."

I pulled the door open, or tried to at least, and she held on attempting to keep it closed. All she did was starch her self out.

"You can't get out, no no no."

"Yes yes yes," I held the door open against her trying to pull it back.

"Fine" she let go of the door and stood up straight "I don't care anyway."

"I don't know why you wouldn't want me to go, I'm paying after all."

"Ohhh fancy. I didn't know, come on. Let's go go go go," she took off in a sprint towards my car.

I rolled my eyes and jogged after her. She was such a child and so hyper it is amazing she can get anything done at times. I've missed this, I've missed her.

"Now unlock the door," she demanded as she pulled on the car door handle until I pulled out my keys.

"Oh my, just be patient. I know what I'm doing."

"Half the time," she muttered.

"Sure."

"I'm always right, that's what makes me so amazing," she flipped her hair before she opened the door and got in.

I laughed and shook my head before getting in too.

"Y/n-" I was stopped by her phone ringing.

"Oh, I'm sorry," she pulled her phone out of her back pocket and I turned the car out of the lot.

"It's fine, answer it."

"Okay, I'm sorry" she slid the smart button on the phone "Hello?"

I saw a smile spread on her face "Hi Austin!"

I rolled my eyes, why is he calling her?

"I'm just heading to lunch with John, you?"

Why is she keeping up the conversation? She told him that she was with me now she can hang up.

"That sounds like a lot of fun, you'll have to tell me about it when you're done."

God, why do I care about who she's talking to? I know that I like her, she knows that too. But she can talk to whoever and I shouldn't be that jealous. And it's not like she would ever date him, I mean first if all who is brother is should stop her. Right?

"Yes yes, and if you don't I'll stab you. But I gotta go, so Aloha!"

"So how's Austin?" I asked. I thought I kept my.... I guess jealousy out of my voice but maybe I was wrong.

"I don't know if I was like this before, but this is how I feel. I love that you care about me, really it makes me feel at home, but please don't talk about my friend like that. I know you only asked a question but your tone suggested that you're not happy with him," she defended.

I sighed "I'm sorry y/n I didn't mean for it to sound like that. I guess I just want you to... to be mine again."

So sorry that that took so long. I haven't felt like writing. Have a nice day/night!!
