How did he know about me and the Sakamaki brothers? Kou chuckled.
"M Neko-chan, we know more about you than you can even imagine." My body turned cold. What did he mean by this? Did they really know about my dancing routine in the bathroom while wearing a blue wig and nothing more?!"Well, we didn't know about that one, but if that's your thing, then..." I chuckled.
"Gotcha. You know what I'm thinking about, don't you?" You are vampires, aren't you? Why won't you just leave me alone?!" I was scared - true, but I was more pissed than afraid. I haven't even spent a single week in Japan and I already had eight vampires up my neck. I'm at, hopefully, human school right now, so I can scream any time and be saved (hopefully). They can't do anything to me here (I really do hope I'm not wrong)."M Neko-chan, I really wasn't planning to meet you here, I swear. It was a coincidence."
"There's no need for us to explain ourselves, Kou. Lauren, we need to tell you something." Ruki was serious.
"We do?" Kou seemed to be confused as well.
"Will I finally get an explanation about this whole thing?""Yes. Now follow us." I could see where this was going.
"You could at least offer me a candy. Not even a child would be lured into a dark valley by you, you know." Honestly, I was feeling like a deer trapped in a middle of the ice - scared, alone, helpless and with a gang of hungry wolves slowly getting closer to cut my throat open, but I refused to show any sign of weakness. I knew I will fail to do so, but at least I had to try."Feisty, huh. Yuma would really like you," Kou smirked. Don't tell me that there's more of them.
"How many vampires does this school have?"
"As far as I know - ten," Ruki said. I cursed under my breath. And based on my luck - all of their attention will be targeted at me for some reason"If you don't want to follow us - we will talk here. I guess you weren't given a proper explanation of your real purpose here, were you?" Ruki gave me something better than a candy.
"No, I wasn't."
"You know why she's here? Kou asked.
"Father talked to me just a while ago. He said what she has to know about the Sakamakis and their previous bride."
"Previous bride?" My voice trailed off. There were more girls like me?
"Yes, and the last one was special. She had a demon princess' heart. The chosen one by her would have taken vampire king's crown."What happened to her?" If she was that valuable, why wasn't she in the mansion anymore?"
"She died before we could meet her.
"Died? How? Did they..?" She was so important and they still killed her? I have no chance to survive after all."No, they didn't. She stabbed herself because of a few circumstances." Kou probably saw my wide, like a full moon, eyes and giggled.
"Ruki, you sure do know how to calm down girls.""As if you do." Kou turned to me.
"Were you feeling safe with me?" My mouth hung wide open. Honestly, they were acting a bit too childish.
"Answer me, M Neko-chan~"
"Um, yeah, I guess. I mean I was feeling a little bit safe until you..."
"See," Kou interrupted me, "I know how to handle my girls." He said with his chest out, hands on his hips, chin up in the air."Your girl? Since when am I your girl?
"Well, I helped you and..." Ruki cleared his throat to make Kou shut up. Which he didn't.
"And you owe me."
'But I never asked you to help me!' How dare he imply that I asked him for help. I had been looking pathetic and I'm pretty sure I still did, but it didn't mean that I was begging for help! That's what I wanted to say, but instead I just stood there, slowly swallowing air."Do you want to know more about Yui, or are you good with the darkness of unknown?" Ruki asked impatiently tapping his foot.
"Hello darkness, my old friend," I sang out.
"What was that?" Ruki's eyebrow twitched in irritation.
"Sir, I said I would love to find out more, Sir." I chanted out like a real soldier.Poor godknowshowold guy pinched the bridge of his nose. To think about it, Ruki seemed familiar... Like someone I already knew, but who?
"*Heavy sigh* Shizuka, we are talking about serious stuff here." Is it Shuu? Well, they do look alike and plus that choker.
"Sorry. What was her name?"
"Yui Komori. She was supposed to be our Eve, but unfortunately, these morons failed to keep her alive.""But why did she stab herself?"
"Her heart's previous owner possessed her body and the silly creature thought that this was the only way to keep everyone safe and unharmed. Sakamaki morons did try to save her, but failed." They tried to save Yui? She must've been really special, unlike me."Others didn't really want to, but Ayato was really persistent to bring her back. He was devastated after Reiji was unable to do anything to help her," Ruki chuckled and Kou giggled.
"They even buried her under the Christian traditions." Ruki and Kou were laughing, but I just stood there, amazed at their cold blooded hearts and cruelty. These two were vampires for a reason after all.
"And after a little while - you showed up." I gulped."And what about it?" I asked shakily.
"You are their new toy to let out all of their piled up frustration. And trust me - there's a lot." Ruki said with a hint of a smirk, his fangs sparkling in the moonlight. Unconsciously, I rubbed my neck where I was bitten. I didn't know about the others, but Ayato had a lot to let out indeed.
"So my main purpose is to be their multifunctional blood bag?" Ruki chuckled."Who said that you're only for them?" I felt my heart stop and then start beating rapidly once again. Ruki was walking closer to me, slowly forcing me to walk back towards the wall. Seeing this, Kou joined his brother. The closer they were getting, the faster my heart was beating. It was like a bomb - ticking faster and faster by every single second.
Now both of them had me trapped against the wall. My heart was beating so fast it actually hurt. I got so lightheaded I had to lean back against the wall. Three red eyes were hungrily staring right at me, reminding me about my terrible first night here. I didn't know what to do. Should I run? Scream? While I waisted my time thinking, Ruki placed his hand on my shoulder and Kou grabbed my waist.
"Don't be so nervous, M Neko-chan, I'll take good care of you."
"And why are you so nervous anyway. You've already been bitten so don't worry." Their words just made things a lot worse for me. I felt like puking once again. They knew that I'm weak, they knew that I'm pathetic. They were leaning closer to me, brushing my hair away from my neck. I am going to die. I am definitely going to die and no one will know where to find my dead body. I closed my eyes in hopes to escape from reality. I felt a cold tongue on my neck sliding up, tasting my skin. I pushed hard against someone's chest, but it was pointless he didn't even budge. I was too weak to protect myself, too weak to do anything at all. I think it's better this way. There's no need to keep a failure like me alive. Any second now. Pain should hit me any second now.
*CRASH*
Something crashed, but that was not my body.
