As I turn my car towards our school's parking lot, I see two unfamiliar guys with their thick body coats on. One of them even has furs on his.
It's the peak of autumn but still their outfits are just plain exaggerated. They look like standing on a pile of snow under 0 degree temperature.
I chuckle, "Maybe they're new immigrants and not used to the cold,"
When I get off the car, my eyes catch a third person. I haven't noticed it at first because the strangers' baggy coats have unintentionally hide the person.
I still can't figure out who it is but I become so curious when the boy with a fur on his coat grabs that person's arm and the latter shakes him off quite dramatically as if out of disgust. The other guy laughs at the scene.
Then, my heart almost stops beating when the third person turns and it meets my eyes, she meets my eyes.
Her action is of disdain like she is being harassed by the two guys but the moment she saw me, her expression changes. She is obviously worried, fear on her face. She tries to walk away but still the guy with the fur on his coat grabs her arm again..
"Leave me alone!!" Nicole's icy voice hisses at him while shaking his hand off her but this time the guy isn't going to give up.
"Do it or I'll sendー"
Nicole's eyes bulge as she flings her hands in the air, "Don't! Don't! Please give me more time!" She pleads, her face is an image of desperation.
The two guys snigger and they both slide their hands into their coat. I can't take it anymore so I walk hurriedly towards them but Nicole beat me to it, she turns away from the strangers and immediately walk away from there. It seems she doesn't want me to know anything.
Surprised at her actions, I shrug my shoulders and focus on the guys who are now laughing at each other. But one of them turns, the one with the fur, this guy accidentally meets my eyes. I can see his brows meet as if asking himself if I heard everything but he recovers immediately. He winks at me with a grin on his face then taps his companion's arm telling him to look at my direction. His companion sees me right away and smirk.
Rolling my eyes, I stomp my feet on the ground and decide not to get myself involve this time and to not let my curiosity be too obvious. So I start walking towards the school's main entrance as if I haven't heard nor seen anything leaving the two strange guys.
I am really devastated at my Biology examination's result that I've been babbling about it the moment I arrived in the cafeteria.
"One mistake??? My god, why do I have to be so dumb and forget metastasis!!!"
Molly clicks her tongue and rolls her eyes. I know she's already annoyed, "How many times do you have to brag about that one mistake, Miss Johnson?"
"C'mon, the point is, I almost got a perfect score and just because of one simple answerー"
"It's not simple when you forgot about it!" Stacie shrieks making some of the students around us look at our direction.
I pout my lips, still disappointed.
"C'mon, Miss Johnson, when are you going to stop this insanity?" Stacie again, "You're not born smart, you're born pretty!"
