"Are you freaking out of your mind?" Molly yells at me the moment I tap 'accept' the conference call.
"People are asking where are you." This time it's not Stacie but Nicole. Stacie has a family dinner in the city.
"Ignore them!" I say halfheartedly.
I can't even ignore it. I did not go to school today and spent whole day reading statuses and comments about me. I did also a little stalking of Travis' page. It is not updated for 3 weeks already. But I went over his past posts over the year, his photo albums, his friends and anything that I could find.
Well, that's my little stalking.
I hate it that I couldnt find anything that I could use to embarrass him. He's damn hot and goodlooking and his page is quite decent, no wild parties, no half naked girls, even no selfies. His photos were him walking the dog, him with his grandma, him with Drs. Sheperds and stolen shots when he's ice skiing, playing basketball...
"Karla, Travis was in school today." Nicole interrupts my thoughts.
"That poor guy, mobbed by your wannabees, pissed by your admirers and received a death threat from your boyfriend." Molly is laughing after she said that.
I know she's talking about Denver. My dysfunctional 'boy-friend'.
I sigh because of exasperation.
Nicole and Molly continue telling me the events of the day and I'm only half listening. I am thinking of ways to get even with Travis. I just can't accept his insults.
Until an idea sparks in my head!
I scream.
Nicole and Molly stops talking and both stare at me. They are thinking maybe I already lost my mind.
"Karla, are you ok?" Nicole's voice is full of concern.
"Tsk.Tsk." Molly's only reaction.
But instead of answering Nicole, I jump on my bed. I don't know how many times I murdered my mattress until I couldnt catch my breath anymore. My idea is completely absolutely super duper brilliant!
"Molly, did I hear you say Travis got a death threat?" I settle myself on my bed again and asking Molly in between my deep breaths.
"Yes?" Molly is raising her left eyebrow. She usually does that when she's curious and she demands a quick explanation from somebody.
"He'll be having a death of me." I clap and grin evilly.
Next day...
"Where is he? Where is he?" I'm scrambling towards the door of the girl's comfort room. I was making sure my make up is flawless, my hair's perfect and I smell good.
"Are you sure about this, Karla?" Nicole is apparently not too convinced of my plan. She is my lookout for today.
"We are only going to eat our lunch." Molly is impatient.
"But Molly, I have to be perfect. I want him to take back what he said to me!" I stomp my feet for emphasis.
Two girls come inside but hurriedly go out again when they see us. I raise my left eyebrow and Molly automatically glowers at them. I'm not sharing the room with anyone aside my friends right now.
"He's here." Nicole informs.
I glance at the mirror for the last time and fix the curls near my neck. I smooth my high waist white skater skirt. I made sure the length would emphasize my shapely long legs, the hem falls at midthigh. I paired it with maroon crisscross top that only covers my 34b busts. It is too tight that it actually pushes my bosom to form a cleavage. To finish the look, I put on a black skinny belt and 4-inch black heels with ankle strap. My outfit comes with a black cardigan that could cover up my upper body in case a teacher or a guard would kill the fun. But at this moment, I shove the cardigan to Nicole's custody.
