"Ohh, where you from , must be heaven, you'd be rich if looking good is your profession. Think I'm in love, cause you so sexy. Boy, I aint talking about you, I'm talking about my reflection."

Damn, the song is on point. I am looking on my vanity mirror while tidying my hair. I think the song was specially written for me. I always talk to my reflection. After preparing my outfit for the next day, I look at my mirror, preening and combing. I am honestly grateful of my parents' good looks and elegance. They actually passed them on me. I look like my mother but more improved because I got my Victoria Secret Angel's body from my father's lean one. My mother is a curvacious petite.

I am constantly mesmerized by my own beauty. If I am given a chance to change my face, I would never doubt my decision to say no. I am perfect as I am. I am applying my face cream after my hair achieved my desired shine. My girls say I have perfect skin, thanks to my latina heritage, and they always say I don't need these creams. But I don't want to take the risk of having dark spots and dry skin by slacking on my beauty regimen. That's just entirely intolerable.

I crawl on my queensized bed with an army of fluffy pillows in different sizes. I lie on my back while I straighten the cold face mask on my face. I relax my facial muscle and put my hands on my chest and stare at the chandelier hanging from my ceiling. I'll be waiting thirty minutes to let the mask work its wonders on me. I do this thrice a week.

And then a face suddenly comes into my mind. Remembering those green eyes, I throw the nearest pillow I could grab towards the huge antique cabinet in front of me which actually a television holder.

I unconsciously ball my hands into fists. The guy just boils my blood effortlessly.

When I entered the house after the incident outside the gate with Travis, I called my mom. Well, she's the only person I know who knows everyone in the neighborhood. You can say she's the resident designer and wives spent too much time with her. She was totally surprised when she heard my voice. Well, we are not close. I've grown apart from her the moment she walked away from us. I applaud Travis for making me call her unexpectedly.

At first, she was suspicious about my sudden interest of the Sheperds. But it's been several months since I initiated to call her, she knows she has to be cooperative to have my best interest.

She told me that Emma Sheperds gave birth to her only son when she was twenty. The father left them when the child was barely a month old. To raise her child, she worked in a public library where she met Edward. Edward was married to his passion in World History. He was 42 when he met her and eventually fell in love. He is an old money. His family is wealthy and everyone was bewildered when he brought Emma to the family. Emma was apparently not what they expected to be his wife. She's very young at 22, poor, no degree and has a child. They concluded that it's money she was after. But after 15 years, Emma proved herself worthy by becoming one of the best surgeons in the country and a good wife by not leaving Edward. In fact they spent a lot of time with each other. Despite of the age gap, they say the couple are happily married.

It was a very touching story but of course she won't be leaving him even he's wrinkled and all. How can she maintain her never-aging regimen? I'm sure it's outrageously expensive. She's 38 and she still looks 30! It's a lot of efforts and a lot of money of course!Being just the country's best neurosurgeon is not enough.

I also learned that in some reasons my mother doesn't know, the couple can't produce any more offspring. That leaves Travis as their only heir. What a rich jerk! I cringed of the thought.

I haven't seen Travis before because he was living with her grandmother, Edward's mother. But 2 months ago, she died of heart failure. That explains why he's here now and ruining my day.
