Ashton age 14: Today was your 14th birthday. Your brother Ashton came home from tour for the week to see you. You woke up early that day, excited for your birthday. "Happy birthday." Ashton said when you went down stairs. "Thanks." You said. "I have to go in and get your present." Ashton said. You nodded. Ashton left and 5 minutes later there was a knock on the door. Your mom was at work and would return later. You looked outside the curtains. It was Luke, Michael, and Calum. You grinned and opened the door. "Happy birthday." They said ambushing you with hugs. "Thanks." You said sitting on the couch with them. "Where's Ashton?" Luke asked. "He said he was picking up my present." You said. They nodded. "Do you know what it is?" You asked bouncing on the couch a little. "Then it wouldn't be a surprise." Michael said. "But-" you began. "No buts." Calum said. Just then the front door opened. A small welsh corgi ran in. "OH MY GOSH IT'S A DOG." You yelled. "Happy birthday." Ashton said. "Thank you so much." You said running to him hugging him. "Thank them they knew too." Aston said motioning to his bandmates. "Thank you." You said hugging each of them. "What are you going to name him?" Ashton asked. "Cheese puff." You said giggling. Ashton burst into giggles. "Really?" He asked. "Yeah." You said hugging your corgi puppy. "My cheese puff."
Luke age 5: You were in the car with your brother Luke going home from school. You were looking at the window while Luke talked to you. "What did you do at school today?" Luke asked. "I learned about painting and I painted a picture of a butterfly." You said. "I'm sure it was pretty." Luke said smiling to himself. You looked out the window and saw something small walking on the sidewalk. It was a puppy. A little chocolate lab puppy. "Lukey there's a puppy stop." You said quietly. "Ok I'll check it out hun." Luke said. Luke stopped the car and walked out to the small puppy on the sidewalk. Luke came back 5 minutes later with the puppy in hand. "The puppy has no tag, I'm going to ask the neighbors if they lost it though." Luke said. After making rounds at the neighbors, nobody claimed the puppy. "I'll drop you home with mom and I'll take her to the vet, it's a girl." Luke said. You waited anxiously for Luke to get home. This puppy could possibly be yours. The front door opened and Luke came in with the puppy. "She's in perfect health and they gave us some puppy stuff for free." Luke said. He handed you a pink collar. "We get to keep her?" You asked happily. "Yep what's her name?" Luke asked putting the chocolate lab in your arms. "Ally." You said petting your new puppy.
Michael age 17: "Michael." You called to your brother. "Yes Y/N." Michael said sarcastically. "You know what I feel like doing." You said. "What." Michael said smiling at you. "Adopting a puppy." You said smiling. "Since when." Michael said getting up. "All my friends have dogs so why can't we?" You asked. "Because they are a lot of work but I sort of do want one." Michael said. "Let's call mom." Michael said. "Hey mom." You said when she answered the phone. "Hi Y/N, is there anything wrong?" She asked. Your mom worked mornings. "No Michael and I were wondering if we could adopt a puppy?" You asked hopefully. Your mom sighed. "Micheal, Y/N I will let you get a dog, not a big one because we don't have room for that." Your mom said. "Yay thanks mom." You both said. You and Michael got in the car. "What kind of breed do you want?" Michael asked. "I don't know." You said. You pulled up at the shelter. A worker led you back to the dog kennels. You and Michael eyed the different types of dogs. Big ones, small ones, fluffy ones, short haired ones. Then you both came across a certain cage. There was a little pug inside. Michael got the worker and you adopted the pug. "What should we name him?" You asked. "Let's name him Pizza." Michael said. You rolled your eyes and laughed. "Pizza it is." You said petting the pug.
Calum age 7: Today was your older brother Calum's birthday and your parents decided to get a puppy as a present to him and the family. You decided to go with your mom to pick her up. Calum was at home with Ashton, Luke, and Michael hanging out and he had no idea. "What breed is she?" You asked your mom. "She's a beagle and her name is patches." Your mom said. You nodded. You were very excited for this puppy also, you had never seen her yet. You pulled up at the pet store. You picked up the puppy and while your mom drove home you held her. She had brown and black patches with white fur. She has a little brown patch over her right eye. Once home you opened the door and you carried the puppy in. "Happy birthday Calum." You said giggling holding the puppy. His mouth hung wide open. "We got a puppy." Calum said picking up patches. "Yep she's yours. Her name is patches." You said. "I love her, thank you so much." Calum said hugging you and your mom. The rest of the day was spent with you playing with the new puppy with Calum. This puppy was the best thing your family had ever gotten.
