The Awakening

I ground as I woke up Monday morning. Memories of Friday night flashed throw my mind. Tyler Holland danced with me. Of course, that led to Liz interrogating me the whole way home and I ended it by saying why didn't she go ask her bipolar friend- aka Tyler- why he danced with me. She left it alone after that and was gone to the gym for the rest of the weekend. "Mom, please no," I hear Liz beg as I walked downstairs. I walked into the kitchen.

"Hunny all your friends are going to the football game as well. You need to get out of the gym and into the high school world," Gina said. I tried to sneak out. "Isabella, you're going to the football game to right?" She asked but I could tell by her tone there was only one answer aloud.

"I guess I am now," I muttered. I walked out to my black Lexus sports car. Gina thought it was better for everyone to have the same color car. When I walked into the school I yelped as I was pulled to the side. I looked to see Lilly and Ruby.

"So start talking now," Lilly said.

"About what?" I asked as we walked down the hall. They both gave me 'really' looks. I looked at them confused.

"About you dancing with Tyler Friday at the club," Ruby said. I rolled my eyes. Why is everyone so caught up in this? It was just a dance. We hardly spoke to each other anyway.

"Nothing happened. We danced and parted ways," I said.

"Well you might have to explain that to one other person," Lilly said and I turned to look where she was looking. I ground. The Unvirouse has it out for me today. Coming down the hall with a snarl on her face was Missy. She had on a white long sleeve t-shirt with black jeans. True it was getting cooler out but what was with these people and winter like clothing? Missy stumped up to me and that's when I notice the latest bruise on her face that she tried to hide with makeup and the scratch under her eye. Strange, I didn't think they had a fight last night.

"Stay away from Tyler," Missy growled.

"Or what?" The words flow out of my mouth before I could stop them. I was never one to be intimidated and I could throw a punch but this girl has been fighting as long as Liz has which is about six years. I'll get my tail kicked. Everyone in the hall was quiet as they watched us.

"Or I'll feed the ground your face," She snarled.

"Wow, how original. What next? Are you going to threaten to make my life miserable?" I asked. Everyone gasped. I guess no one stud up to this girl. Missy growled and her fist came flying towards my face. I quickly ducked and throw a punch of my own hitting her in the jaw. She stumbled back, obviously surprised. Then she snarled.

"Hey! Enough!" A deep voice yelled and then a back covered my view.  I looked up to see Tyler and this time I growled. Why does he always get involved? I looked to see that he had a fresh bunch of wounds along with Ryn who had his arms wrapped around Lilly. Maybe Liz didn't join in on the fight last night. "Missy, go!" Tyler snarled. Missy snapped her teeth at me but walked off. Tyler turned towards me but I just huffed and started to walk to class. "So that's the thanks I get?" Tyler asked keeping in step with me.

"I didn't need your help," I growled. Tyler snorted in disbelief which only made me madder.

"Missy could have fed you your teeth," He said and I stopped dead in my tracks to face him. He looked down at me.

"Get this throw your thick skull!" I hissed lowly. "I'm not some Princess that needs you to rescue her every time you think something is wrong. How about you do us both a favor and mind your own business!" I snarled looking into his eyes. For a second I thought I saw hurt flash throw them but it was quickly gone and replaced by anger.
