Fight or Flight, You Still Might Just Die

I hissed as I finally finished the stitches in my arms. Thank the Lord for whoever invented YouTube. I throw the bloody towels in a bag to take out with me later and then piled up in my bed after wrapping my arm. I finally felt a bit of piece as sleep overtook me. My eyes fluttered open when light showed throw my curtains the next morning. I ground as I sat up. My back was incredibly sour and my arm stung a bit. I got up and throw on a sweatshirt to hide my arm and picked up my phone. My heart sped up a bit when I saw a text from Tyler but slowed in disappointment when I read it.

Training. Today. B at the gym by 3.

There was no way I could do the gym today. Not without him finding out something was up.

Me: Sorry, can't make it today. Maybe tomorrow.

I put my phone down and went to brush teeth and hair. Then I walked downstairs to get some breakfast. I slowly walked back up the stairs because of the pain spreading throw my back. When I got to my room I picked my phone up only to freeze. Five missed calls from Tyler. Three from Liz and then there were about seven texts from Tyler as well.

What do u mean you can't make it?
Is something wrong?
Hello?
Isabella?!?!
Can't you answer the phone?
I swear if I call one more time...
Fine!!!

Okay, he's ticked but what did 'fine' mean? I jumped when I heard a knock on my bedroom door. I turned to see Tyler leaning agents the door frame with his muscular arms crossed sporting new scratches and bruises. He was wearing a black t-shirt, black jeans with a chain belt and his usual black combat boots. "Um... hi?" I said unsure what to do.

"Hi yourself, now why the heck aren't you coming to training?" He growled lowly. I scuffed getting defensive.

"Why do you care?" I asked crossing my arms. He growled lowly.

"Why are you blocking me out?" Tyler growled.

"Me! You're the one that's been blocking me out!" I yelled angrily.

"Don't yell at me!" He roared back. I turned my back to him trying to control my anger. I heard a sigh. "Bella I'm sorry, I shouldn't yell at you but it bothers me that you're keeping things from me," He whispered rubbing his hands on my shoulders.

"I shouldn't have to tell you everything," I muttered. "It's not like you're my boyfriend," I said but instantly wished I could have taken it back the moment I saw the hurt flash throw his eyes. "Tyler..." I whispered.

"You're right," His stone cold voice said as he jerked his hands off my shoulders. "I'm not your boyfriend," He said walking out and slamming my door shut. I ground and fell back onto my bed. When did life get so complicated? There was a knock at the door and Gina pocked her head in.

"That sounded bad," She said. I let out a bitter laugh.

"Try worse than bad," I said.

"I know I may not be your mother but I can try and give motherly advise," She offered. I nodded. "So you like him," She said sitting down.

"No," I muttered and she gave me a look. "Yes," I answered. She smiled.

"Tyler is a lot like his father when he was a teen. Very headstrong and hard to get into his heart. He keeps people away to keep them safe. Much like you do," She gave me a look and I knew better than to argue. "Let him in sweetheart," She whispered. I thought for a second. Maybe she was right. I smiled as I stud up. She stud up with me and I hugged her.

"Thank you," I said. She smiled at me.

"No problem," She said and left. I slipped on a pair of black skinny jeans, a white t-shirt, and a black leather jacket. I was still pulling on my high hail leather boots as I was running out the door. I about ran into Liz while running out.

"Wooh girl, where you headed?" She asked.

"Tyler's!" I called. She smirked.

"You go, girl!" She yelled. In case you haven't noticed we have grown a lot closer. I ran to my hair and hopped in. I practically broke every speeding law. I ran into the door almost running into Ryn.

"Tyler?" I asked before he could speak.

"In his office. The third door down," He said. I ran and didn't even bother knocking when I ran in. I growled at the sight before me. Missy was seated on Tyler's desk with barely any clothes on. Tyler ignored her as he signed papers but his head jerked up when the door hit the wall.

"Bella?" He said surprised. I pushed Missy out. I slammed the door shut before turning to Tyler whose eyes were wide. I paced for a second. "Hey, whats going on?" He asked walking around his desk and holding onto my shoulders.

"Okay I'm going to tell you something and you're going to think I'm crazy," I said.

"Because I'm so one to judge someone's mental state," He muttered leaning back onto his desk.

"Okay," I whispered. I sat down putting my head in my hands.

"Bella?" He whispered bending down.

"I see things!" I blurt out. "At night, I see things in the forest and I fought them for the first time last night," I said. I looked at him and waited for him to call me crazy.

"What things?" He asked looking at me with a serious expression.

"Zombies," I whispered. I now really expected him to call me crazy but a smile broke out on his face. I raised an eyebrow.

"You see them," He said with a bright smile. He picked me up and hugged me close.

"So you don't think I'm crazy?" I asked.

"Bella tell me if you can see this?" He asked stepping back. Then his soul exited his body. I gasped.

"You can do what I can do!" I yelled. He chuckled as his body and soul became one again. I jumped into his arms. He laughed a bit and spun me around. Then his lips met mine.
