I was shocked, at least at first. Then slowly I started to kiss back agents his soft lips. He pulled me closer with a happy sound coming from his throat. Everything felt so right. After a minute we pulled away. I laid my head on his shoulder as he held me close. He sat down on his desk chair while rubbing a hand up and down my spine. I nuzzled closer to him and he tightened his grip. "You know this means you're my girl, right? Anybody who tries to touch you I'll break them in half," Tyler threatened. I giggled a bit and nodded. "Bella, why didn't you tell me you could see the Zombies?" Ty asked.
"Really? How would you feel if all of a sudden you started seeing the walking dead and trying to decide if you are crazy or not?" I asked. He chuckled lightly. "My mother used to see them," I said.
"Yeah, your father does too," Tyler said and I jerked up.
"What?"
"Don't be angry with him Bella. You're only able to see them because of the car crash you had. Imagine if he came home one day and said 'by the way, I can see zombie spirts," Tyler said. I gave a nod. I definitely understand. For the last few months, I felt like I was going crazy and seeing things that weren't really there. At least I wasn't alone anymore. I jumped a bit when I heard a throat being cleared behind me. I looked to see Mr. Holland looking at us with a raised eye brawl. Then I felt Ty's hands on my waste and remembered that I was still on his lap. I blushed and tried to get up but Ty held me close. "Yes?" Tyler asked.
"Just came by to talk to you about work," Mr. Holland said to Tyler saying more with his eyes then what I could understand.
"Dad, Bella sees them," Ty said. Mr. Hollands steal violet gaze locked on me. I tried to get up again but Tyler stopped me. I slapped his shoulder and his hissed a bit. I heard a snort as I stud up.
"She handles you like your mother handled me," Mr. Holland said with a slight smirk. Tyler grumbled under his breath. "Well kid we have a hunt tonight, how much can you do?" Mr. Holland asked.
"Just about everything," I said. Mr. Holland gave a nod and walked out.
"Are you sure you're ready for a hunt tonight?" Ty asked.
"I just killed two last night so," I said and shrugged.
"You stay close to me, for my own peace of mind," He begged. I smiled and nodded. A big note in my mother's journal, distractions kill. We walked into the gym when his hand latched onto mine. I raised a brawl at him. "Might as well make my claim now," He said with a smirk. People stared as we walked past.
"Whipped," Ryn coughed out.
"Shut up," Tyler said. I laughed a bit. Ty smiled at me and wrapped an arm around my shoulders. I snuggled closer to him.
"What the heck?" A voice scratched. I ground as Ty growled. Missy stud there shaking in anger. Tyler about stepped forward but I put a hand on his chest.
"I can handle a jealous anger ex on my own," I said. Tyler gave a stiff nod but stayed behind me with his arms crossed. Missy snarled as she stud in front of me.
"If you think you mean anything to him you're wrong. Once he's tired of you he'll get rid of you," She said with a smirk. Tyler snarled darkly. Missy turned and walked out. I just rolled my eyes. Tyler hugged me from behind. I hummed happily and leaned into his warm hold.
"If she bothers you, let me know. I'll take care of it," He whispered in my ear.
I told you I can handle it," I said rubbing a hand up and down his arm. He just huffed and buried his face in my neck. He raised up after a second.
"I have to go warm up before tonight's hunt, I want you warming up too," He said. I nodded and went to stretch. Ryn walked over.
"So are you excited about tonight?" He asked.
"A little nervous," I admitted.
"Why?" Ryn asked. "If you've handled two by your self you should be fine," He said.
"I'm more nervous about working with a team. What if I mess up and someone gets hurts?" I said.
"You'll do fine," Ryn said with a smile. I smiled back. "Um... but I don't have to tell you that Lily knows nothing about this, right?" He asked.
"I already know." Ryn gave a small nod.
"Okay everyone listen up!" Ty yelled going onto a small stage. Everyone turned to listen to their leader. "First I would like to welcome a newcomer to our group, Isabella Night." Everyone smiled at me and I gave a wave. "Second of all tonight we have a big horde heading towards the school. As you can already guess the giant crowd is attracting them. Hopefully, the lights of the football field will keep them at a safe distance. Get ready we move out in ten." Everyone nodded as Ty hopped off stage. He walked over to me and wrapped his strong arms around me. I hummed happily as snuggled into his protective hold.
"Isabella?" A voice asked. I looked to see my father. I gulped and walked over. He looked over me with worry in his eyes. "How long have you been able to see them?" He asked as the worry seeped throw.
"A few weeks," I said and his arms wrapped around me in a tight hug.
"I'm sorry I wasn't there for you. I should have seen the signs, I'm so sorry you had to face that one your own," He whispered.
"Daddy it's not your fault. I just told Ty today..."
"Yes the boy I see hanging all over you," My father said taking on a protective glint in his eyes. Tyler walked up standing straight. The thing was he was the same height as my dad so they both were kind of glaring into each other's eyes. I cleared my throat and stepped between them.
"Daddy I really like him," I said taking Ty's hand in mine. Ty tightened his hold.
"Son I know how you are," My father growled at Ty. "Moving from girl to girl."
"I'm not doing that was Isabella, I care about her more then I could ever explain," Tyler said looking into my eyes the whole time. I smiled up at him. My father looked between us but sighed.
"Fine, but if you do one thing to hurt her I'll tie you up and feed you to the zombies," My father growled and walked off.
"Well that went better than expected," Tyler said. I giggle a bit and wrapped my arms around him. He hummed happily and wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "Let's get ready for tonight," He said.
