Journal entry 1

I saw a Monster last night, a zombie. Something evil, something that shouldn't exist in the world. Was I possibly going crazy or was I truly seeing something? Those red eyes seemed so real, so full of darkness and hunger. Is there a way to defend myself agents these things? Am I the only one that sees them?

I looked up when I heard a knock at the door. Riley looked up from where he was seated on the couch. He hopped up and walked over to the door. He hadn't left my side all day. He opened the door. "You want me to get Liz?" He asked.

"No, I'm actually here to see Isabella." Tyler?

"Why?" Riley snarled slightly. I laughed a little as I fixed the blanket and set it on the back of the chair I was curled up on. Riley could be very overprotective and possessive. I walked over and Tyler's violet eyes met my hazel ones.

"I can take it from here," I said to Riley, rubbing a hand on top of his thick brown hair. Riley smiled brightly at me but the glared at Tyler. Riley snapped his teeth at him before walking off. Tyler looked at me with wide eyes. "He learned that from you and your friends," I said.

"Great. Love that we're rubbing off all our great qualities," Tyler said sarcastically. I laughed a bit.

"Come on in," I said. We walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. I curled up a bit and Tyler sat back in the corner. His eyes scanned me for a second as if trying to read me.

"How are you?" He asked referring to the crash.

"I'm okay. I'm lucky you came when you did," I said. Tyler gave a slight nod.

"You look tired though. Are you sleeping okay?" He asked. No. A big, fat no but if I told him what I saw he would think I was crazy. No, he would think I was insane. I gave my best smile.

"I'm fine, really. I was still just a little spoked," I said. I looked and notice new marks on his arms and that one of his knuckles where bandaged. "Another fight last night?" I asked picking up his hand without thinking. I looked at the knuckle that was slightly swollen and still must be red under all the bandaging. Tyler laughed a bit.

"Ran into some guys trying to cause trouble actually," He said. Strange. He got these marks last night when I saw the zombies. Could he see them? Maybe he even fought them? I shook my head a bit. Here I am thinking like a crazy person again through another idea struck me.

"Could you teach me some self-defense?" I asked looking up at him. Tyler looked down at me a bit surprised. "It just, not that hanging off a cliff is great but what if that man was some crazy person yesterday?" I said. Tyler nodded at this. "If you're to busy I could ask Liz."

"No," He said after a minute of thinking. "I can teach you but you have to listen to everything I say to do."

"As terrifying as that sounds, okay," I said. Tyler throws his head back as he laughed and I couldn't help but stare. He should laugh more, it made him look softer.

"Meet me at the gym Monday after school. Have Liz give you a lift," He said. I nodded. "Be ready to get to work," He said. Again I nodded.

"I still can't believe he agreed to teach you," Liz said as we drove to the gym. Well, it was kind of a gym. Tyler had a gym inside his house. I can't imagine its that big but whatever.

"I'm glad he did though. That crash made me realize that if that man was crazy and if I had been easy to reach he easily could have taken me," I said. Liz nodded in agreement.
