Yoongi looks into the bathroom mirror. He hates himself, right now. He knows what he has to do but he really doesn't want to. But, he knows that if he doesn't, it's Jimin who's going to pay the price. Would he rather see Jimin dead, or never see Jimin again?
As Yoongi leaves the bathroom, he puts his phone back in his pocket. "Chim?.. Change of plans, I have to go..."
"You.. Oh... Okay..." Jimin attempts to hide his disappointment.
"I'm sorry..." Yoongi sighs, walking to the front door.
"That's okay... I'll see you four times next week, right?" The younger grins, jogging after him and clinging to his wrist.
Yoongi smiles gently, he feels sorry for the younger. "I'm gonna miss you..."
Jimin frowns. "Yoongi, it's only two days... And you could always come tomorrow if you want..?"
The elder gulps and picks his coat up before he can change his mind.
"Yoongi... Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." The elder keeps his composure, voice steady even though he wants to scream and yell about how unfair life is.
"Okay... Well, can I have a kiss?" Jimin blushes, not meeting the other's eyes.
"I... No, Jimin."
The younger stares at Yoongi, taken aback. "Oh... Okay..."
"I'm sorry, I just... Fuck, you're not gonna remember this anyway. I don't want to kiss you because then I'll stay. And if I stay, then I don't think I'll be able to leave. And I have to leave... It's not fair on you..." He strokes Jimin's cheek for a second before quickly shaking himself out of the trance-like state that the younger always seems to put him in.
"What do you mean 'not fair on me'?" Jimin frowns, slightly angry now. "Are you... Are you breaking up with me?"
"We were never together, Jimin. Not really..." Yoongi sighs.
"B-But you are saying I'll never see you again." It's not a question, it's a statement. Yoongi feels his heart shattering as Jimin slips his hand out of the elder's grasp and takes a step back.
"I-"
"Hyung.. W-What's happened to your neck??" Jimin's eyes widen in horror.
"What?" Yoongi frowns, confused.
"You.. It looks like your skin's... cracking... all the way down to your chest.." Jimin lifts a hand, trying to touch it. Yoongi bats the hand away, glaring at the younger.
He clenches his jaw and puts his other hand up to his neck. "Shit... I.. Fuck, I need to go."
"Hyung. Tell me." Jimin grabs Yoongi's wrist and pulls him closer, stroking his neck where the thin lines have appeared. "This is why you don't want to see me again, isn't it?"
"Chim... I'm sorry..."
"Don't say that. You've done nothing wrong... Just.. just tell me what this means. Are you sick?.. Is it cancer?.. Is there something wrong with you?.."
"There's a lot of things wrong with me." Yoongi is so sure his voice is about to crack. He can't believe this is happening. He always thought about it happening to the dickheads who use humans like prey, but he's always been respectful where he can be. Especially with Jimin!
"Like what?" The younger looks directly into Yoongi's eyes and the elder feels oddly intimidated. That's a first from a human...
"You wouldn't be standing this close to me if you knew..."
