"So you're finally admitting to stalking him?" Kyung teases her best friend.

"I'm not stalking him! I'm just... He intrigues me... That's all..." Shin blushes.

"It's okay, Shin. We understand, really! He intrigues you so much, you feel the need to follow him... A lot..." Jin raises his eyebrows and Shin grits her teeth.

"Not a lot!... Look, I don't even know his name, I'm not a stalker..." The girl pouts slightly.

"Not a good stalker, still a stalker..." Kyung adds as she dishes up the food.

The other two grin, conversation forgotten at the sight and smell of their friend's cooking.

Shin pulls her plate close, almost hugging it. "Kyung, I love you... This smells way too good! Life is so unfair sometimes..." Shin pouts sadly and Jin nudges her warningly.

"Huh?..." Kyung's brow furrows.

"My taste buds can't take it! It's way too delicious..." Shin replies, laughing nervously.

"You're so over-dramatic sometimes, Shin... Now, sit down I'm starving!"

They all sit around the table and joke about with each other. The two girls complain about single life and Jin smiles sadly. No one brought up Jin's previous relationship or the reason he was now single. But he'd happily listen to his friends complain about their love lives.

"So, how's work?" Kyung looks over at Jin.

"Oh, same old same old... paperwork up to my neck and customers down my back and my boss nipping at my heels but, you know... It could be worse." The elder smiles. "You?"

Kyung sighs deeply. "We'll see..."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Shin's expression suddenly turns serious.

"Just... My boss again... It's probably nothing!..."

"But?." Shin and Jin voice in unison.

"But, he's still giving me those weird looks and... I dunno... A couple of days ago he bumped into me and I'm pretty sure it was purposeful..." Kyung shrugs.

"What makes you think that?" Jin glares, over-protective older brother mode being switched fully on.

"Where he put his hands..." Kyung purses her lips and her two friends both scowl.

"You need to report him!" Shin glares.

"I have no proof! And besides... He let me slack off because I let him get away with it this time... If he touches me again, I'm gonna say something though. I promise."

Shin grumbles, unconvinced. "Well, at least you two have jobs..."

"You've only got one more year of school, you can survive..." Kyung nudges her friend's elbow and Jin sends her a sympathetic look.

"It feels like I've spent decades at the hell hole named school..." Shin grumbles.

Jin chuckles and nods, looking down at his food again.

After they finish Jin and shin both make excuses for needing to leave.

"Lunch on Saturday is still on, right?"

Shin nods enthusiastically.

"You're sure?."

"Kyung... When have we ever let you down?!" Jin gasps, offended.

"Every other Saturday?..." Kyung raises her eyebrows at them both and they shuffle their feet awkwardly before hugging her and leaving.

Kyung smiles after her makeshift family as they close the door behind them. She then sighs and starts clearing up the mess they always leave behind.

Typical.
