Chloe's POV:

"Today's the day" I said to Aubrey. We were both stood in front of a mirror getting dressed. I looked over to her. She didn't smile, look back or say anything. I walked a little closer to her. "Bree?" I asked, gently nudging her with my elbow. She looked at me and smiled. My head slightly tilted and I furrowed my eyebrows."Are you okay?" I questioned, hoping she was okay. "I'm okay, Chloe. I'm just worried that nobody is going to show up. If they don't, the trebles will hold it against us forever". She said with a frown. I looked down at my feet and thought. "Aubrey, Beca will show up. I know that. I mean she hasn't told me that she will but I know she will. She's gonna blow minds". I said, trying my hardest to cheer her up. "Okay" is all she said back. I said nothing after that knowing that I wouldn't be able to make her worry less.

Beca's POV:

I was getting ready, putting on casual clothes for a 'normal' day. Until I got a text. I picked my phone up and read the message.

Chloe😍❤: You'd better show up

Beca: possibly

Chloe😍❤: I'm counting on you

Beca: i know

That was the whole conversation. It was very short but talking to Chloe made me so happy. No matter what it was about. But I always had to try to keep my cool. Even though I sound like a bitch 99% of the time talking to her, I love talking to her. She's a beauty.

After staring into nothing for a few minutes and thinking about Chloe, I decided I should probably leave.

I walked downstairs and grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl in the kitchen. I was about to leave until my step-monster came out of nowhere. She was hitting herself off every piece of furniture and almost falling over. She was clearly drunk. "Beca! We all know you're gay okay? And that's cool. Just leave with your pineapple and be back in an hour" she said to me. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "Yeah, Okay. I'll leave with my... pineapple?". I said back to her and then left the kitchen.

I picked up my keys on the side and left the house. So many thoughts passed through my head as I walked to hell.

Does she know that I'm bisexual?

Is she only being kind of nice because she's drunk?

Does she actually think I'll be back in an hour?

Does she think this is a fucking pineapple?

I took a bite out of my apple as I placed my headphones on my head and started listening to music. I hummed the tune to Titanium all the way there. When I arrived, it was only 9:47. Which meant I had an hour and thirteen minutes until auditions started. 'I have a while' I said whilst checking the time on my phone. I decided to walk over to 'my spot' and sit down. My laptop was in my bag as usual so I bought it out and turned it on. As soon as it came on, I was remixing songs and making them a whole lot better.

After a while, I checked the time on my phone. *11:39*. 'Oh, it's only eleven thirty-nine. It's okay'. I murmured whilst putting my phone down. I carried on remixing. 'Wait... ELEVEN THIRTY NINE!'. Shit. I quickly slammed the screen on my laptop down onto the keyboard and shoved it into my bag. I stood up, put my bag on my shoulder and ran to the main hall.

'For fucks sake Beca. Well done, you idiot' I said to myself whilst running quicker than ever.

I finally made it to the backstage part of the hall. I ran to find where the stage was. My heart was beating and I had absolutely no breath but it would hopefully be worth it. I found the entrance which lead to the stage. The stage was gigantic. I look tiny anyway, standing on that stage would make me look even smaller. The nervousness kicked in. Whilst drowned in my own thoughts, the sound of voices pulled me out of it. So I peeked at where the voices were coming from. Chloe was stood up, clearly stressed out and crying. All of the other groups on campus had obviously left the audition hall because their auditions were over. It was just Chloe and Aubrey. Aubrey was trying to comfort her by hugging her. I could barely hear them but I tried my hardest to listen anyway.

'I just wanted her to audition' Chloe said with tears pouring down her face. 'I know, Chlo. Maybe next time'. Aubrey replied, rubbing her back. 'Next time isn't soon enough' Chloe snapped. 'We need her no-"

I decided to walk out onto the stage which interrupted their conversation. I could see that Chloe was clearly upset about the fact that I didn't show up. The best thing I could do was make it right.

"Uh, hello?" I said. Which caused both of their faves to turn to mine. "Beca?" Chloe questioned with a small smile on her face.

I made her smile

"I'm sorry, I got too distracted remixing some songs and didn't realise that I missed the auditions" I said, apologising for the inconvenience. Chloe could barely speak. "I-I-I'm glad you uhh" the redhead said, trying hard to spit out her words. "What she's trying to say... is that she's happy you turned up" Aubrey butted in. Chloe turned to her and mouthed 'thank you'.

Chloe's POV:
She turned up... Beca turned up. Words genuinely couldn't express how upset I was that she didn't show up before. But my mood changed in an instant when she finally got up on that stage. Damn. She looked beautiful with her skinny jeans and converse.

"So uh, what should I sing?" She asked which bought be out of my thoughts immediately. "Sing whatever you like" Aubrey answered for me. Her eyes peered down at the desk in front of Aubrey and I. "Can I use this?" She asked, pointing towards a yellow cup on the table. "Sure" I said, with a smile. Mascara was all down my face but I didn't care at this point in time.

She picked the cup up and placed it upside down in front of her. She started doing some kind of clapping and singing thing. Her voice was mesmerising. I couldn't say a thing.

"Oh I know you're gonna miss me when I'm gone"

She finished her song. It was the best thing that I'd heard all day. Damn.

You're driving my crazy, Mitchell.

I couldn't say a word. Literally not a word came out of my mouth. I just stared with a huge grin on my face. Aubrey nudged me which made me jump. "What?" I asked, not thinking what I was saying. "What did you think of the audition?" Aubrey fired a question back. "Fucking amazing" I said, still staring at Beca. The girl on the stage smiled and looked down trying to hide her blush.

"Oh my god. You guys are both crazy" Aubrey said to both of us just before deciding to get up and leave. She began to walk out. "Well done, Beca!" She yelled before pushing the door open and walking out.

And then there were two.

"And then there were two" I said out loud.

For fucks sake I didn't mean to say it out loud.

"Sorry, that was so uncool" I apologised, hanging my head in embarrassment. "No don't be sorry, it's okay, honestly" Beca replied, making me feel a bit better. I motioned my head towards the door, hinting that we may as well leave. She caught on and followed. "You were hella good" I said, awkwardly whilst walking. "Thanks. I tried. Again I'm sorry for missing the main audition. Was anyone good?" Beca said, sounding genuinely interested. "Don't be sorry, and yeah some were. Not as good as you though" I replied, adding a wink at the end. She laughed and told me jokingly that she knew she'd be better.

When we finally arrived back on campus, I had to leave for Bellas rehearsal. So she went and worked on her music next to a tree.

She's so cute.
