Beca's POV:

*6:48am*
Ding. I woke up to the sound of a text message coming through. 'Ugh' I groaned to myself as I slowly opened my eyes. I squinted them due to the bright light beaming through the gaps in my shitty blinds. My phone was lit up so I reached out to pick it up. "6:48. What does she want at this time?"

Chloe😍❤: I better see you at the activities fair today, you tiny mouse

I was that tired that it took me a few minutes to realise what she was talking about.

Beca: why the fuck are you up so damn early?

Chloe😍❤: I'm helping set up the activities fair. I'm already here

Beca: what is wrong with you?

Chloe😍❤: Nothing. I just have pride in my Bellas

Beca: yeah okay. well you have fun with that

Chloe😍❤: Why don't you get up now and meet me here early?

Beca: me getting up early? yeah that's not a thing

Chloe😍❤: No but it will be

After sending my last message, I fell asleep. I'm definitely not a morning person.

Chloe😍❤: Becaaaaaa?

Chloe😍❤: Hello?

Chloe😍❤: Oh my god you're so lazy

Chloe😍❤: See you later you aca-bitch

*7:20am*
Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. I fell asleep with my phone right next to my ear. So my alarm may as well have killed me because it was so loud. I woke up, rolled onto my back, placed my hands on my face and groaned. I reached out for my phone and turned off my alarm.

5 missed messages from Chloe😍❤

I unlocked my phone and clicked on my text messages. "Jesus, red" I said to myself, surprised at the fact that Chloe wanted me so much. She isn't wrong though, I am incredibly lazy. After a few minutes of lying there contemplating if I actually needed to go to university I decided to get up. I put on my usual makeup and black clothes which show my personality amazingly accurately.

*20 minutes later*
I walked downstairs and was about to leave until I was stopped by my dad. "Beca, your step-mom has told me that yesterday you were rude to her when coming home from university. Is this true?" He asked me with a concerned look on his face. "What the fuck no!" I said back, annoyed. "Language!" He replied. "English" I said back trying hard not to crack a smile at my own joke. "Not funny, Beca" he said, clearly getting annoyed at me. "I didn't even talk to her yesterday. I try my 100% best to stay away from the devil" I slightly yelled accidentally. "Okay" he replied with, slowly walking away. 'I'm so done here' I whispered to myself. I picked up my keys and walked out the door, not bothering to lock it on the way out. I placed my headphones on my head to escape my thoughts. Sure enough, it worked. I was okay after that. Until I remembered the activities fair... I wasn't going to lie, I didn't want to join the Bellas. I mean, I guess Chloe is now kind of my friend... but not really. I barely know her. But still, I want to make music and be a DJ. Not be in a lame acapella group. I'll try my best to avoid her and blondie.

Chloe's POV:

"Aubrey, what if she doesn't show up?" I asked my best friend, hoping that Beca would turn up. "The thank god, Chloe. We don't need her". Aubrey replied to me, I fell silent and practically shoved the flyers in people's faces when they walked past.
'We're getting nowhere' I muttered to myself under my breath and sighed.

Beca's POV:
I walked around the stupid fair and looked for something interesting. There were a group of boys called the Treblemakers that were jumping around everywhere and singing. 'All I see is acapella' I said to myself, quite loud. I then looked around to see if anybody saw. Nobody did. Phew. One of the crazy boys from the group looked at me and winked.
Abort, abort, abort.

I saw a sign that said 'Barden DJs' in huge letters which grabbed my attention. I walked towards it and had a look at the flyers they had lying on their table. A couple of strange guys who were abnormally tall, slim and were nothing but happy stared at me. We stared at each other for a few seconds until I gave up. "I shall be going" I said and took one of their flyers with me. Awkward.

I looked around whilst walking trying hard not to bump into Chloe. Apparently I didn't look hard enough because she called out my name.

"Beca!" I heard from behind me. I closed my eyes and sighed. I turned around and walked towards Chloe and blondie. "Hey Beca!" Chloe said to me with a huge grin on her face. "Uh... hi" I replied, trying my hardest to look at least a tiny bit happy. She handed me the leaflet and stared at me, waiting for my reaction. "Yikes" I said. "Aca-scuse me?" Aubrey replied. "It's just kinda lame" I said to her with confidence. "Don't join then" she happily blurted out. "I don't think you'll have a problem with that!" I said, with a sarcastic grin on my face. "Beca" Chloe butt in. She looked upset. I didn't want to upset her. I looked her and smiled a sad smile. A smile which told her that I was sorry. I never feel bad because my heart is made of stone but I felt really bad. I shook it off and read some of what the flyer said. It didn't actually look too bad. I mean, it could have looked better but I didn't think it looked terrible. I looked back up to Chloe and Aubrey. I let out a small smile and a nod. "I'll see you later" I said whilst walking away.

Aubrey's POV:
"I really don't like her" I said as I watched her walk away. She was still reading the flyer. "I know you don't. But she has so much potential. Have you not seen her Instagram account?" She looked at me with a serious look. "No?" I questioned. I hadn't. I didn't know she had one. But I didn't want Chloe to kick me because I hadn't seen her page. Chloe got her phone out and clicked on Instagram. She went on Beca's profile and showed me a video of her singing 'Just The Way You Are' by Bruno Mars. My eyes widened as soon as she started singing. "I mean... she's okay" I said, trying hard not to admit my thoughts. "Are you kidding me? She's amazing. We need her, Aubrey" Chloe said to me as she put her phone back in her pocket. "Okay, okay.... she is good. I'll admit it. But we don't like each other and we don't even know one another!" I exclaimed. "Sort our your damn differences and become 'besties' for all I care. We just need her". Chloe said. I never noticed how much Chloe actually wanted Beca with us. She made me feel bad for all the times I've ever said anything bad about the alternative freak... I mean... pretty girl... Dammit Chlo, you got me. "Okay" I replied with. "Let's do it".

Beca's POV:
*4:51*
After a long day of walking around and seeing people's strange professions, I plopped myself down on my comfy bed and relaxed. I ended up checking my phone because I had nothing better to do. Obviously, I had a message from Chloe. I opened it up.

Chloe😍❤: Bella's auditions in the main hall tomorrow at 11:00am sharp

Beca: don't count on it, redhead

Chloe😍❤: I will ☺💕

For some reason, she now has me kinda hooked. I got the flyer out and just stared at it blankly as I thought seriously about this audition. If I audition then I'd almost definitely get in. By the looks of things, Chloe would do anything to get my sweet ass in the group. What are you doing to me, Chloe fucking Beale?

You're killing me.
