Chloe's POV:
I dragged Beca by her hands down the dreary college corridors and to the dirty restroom.
"Where are we going?" Beca asked in curiosity. "Just wait" I said which made her roll her eyes.
We finally made it to the outside of the restroom. I faced Beca and placed one finger over my mouth to let her know that she needed to be quiet. We walked in one-by-one through the door and stood outside the stall that Aubrey was in. We could hear the sobbing coming from the small space.
"Aubrey?" I said, hoping for a reply. I got none. Not even recognition that I was there. "It's Beca and Chloe. We're here to help" I said, again, hoping that I'd get a reply. "Go away" I heard a small voice say.
Better than nothing I guess.
"Why? We're going to help you" I spoke, hoping she'd accept it. "I don't need any" Aubrey replied to me.
I sighed, turned to Beca and shrugged. She copied my action and sighed too.
"Um.. Aubrey? I guess we're not really great friends... yet. But I'd like to be. We're here to help you. It's for life, dude". I could hear her moving in the stall. Until the door unlocked. I stepped back slowly as the door creeped open. The blonde girl walked out. Her mascara was dribbling down her face as a frown was planted on her face.
We all stood there for a second staring at each other wondering what to say.
"So?..." Aubrey quietly said. "What's up. I demand you to tell me". I waved my arms around.
Beca's POV:
Damn, you can demand me to do anything.
Aubrey sighed, shut her eyes tightly and looked down trying to prevent the tears from letting go.
"Chloe. I just feel like you're not... my best friend anymore". She whispered. "Why? Of course I am"! I snapped back.
"You're not. Beca came along and stole all your attention?" She tried to explain herself without getting angry.
I stepped back a bit, not understanding exactly what I had done to steal Chloe off her. However I wasn't complaining.
"Beca is just a friend!" Chloe stomped her feet.
Ouch.
"Just a friend?" Aubrey questioned. I looked over at Chloe. Her face was now turning bright red and her hands began trembling.
"Y-yeah. I mean, um. Of course" Chloe began stuttering. "I see the way you two look at each other. And it's obvious that Mitchell over there is a little camp". Aubrey pointed at me. Chloe looked over at me. My face was now turning red.
Fuck.
"Do you not think that was a little too like... aggressive?" Chloe asked. "No no... it's okay. She doesn't have to pretend like she doesn't have a say" I butted in. They both stared at me.
"Are you gay?" Aubrey asked in curiosity. "I mean... I..." I tried my hardest to explain but it wouldn't come out.
Literally.
"I'll take that as a yes" Aubrey rudely assumed and rolled her eyes. "Aubrey stop! Who gives a shit if she's gay or not? It literally doesn't matter! I'm bisexual. There, I said it. And every fucking day I fall a little bit more for her. So Aubrey, if you can't accept it then I suggest you get the fuck out!" Chloe yelled. I don't even think she realised what she was saying. Maybe she was too caught up in the moment... Or maybe she actually likes me. Oh fuck I don't know. The smile on my face was like it had never been before. Who knew that one person could make someone so happy?
Before anybody could say anything, Chloe ran out of the restroom. I looked over at Aubrey, shrugged and ran after her.
Dammit, Beale.
I tried to remember every move she made so I could follow her but she was hard to keep up with. I yelled her name whilst running after her but 1. Yelling while running is hard as shit. And 2. I literally do no physical exercise.
After about another minute of running, I finally caught up with her. I mean, not exactly. She had stopped and sat down on the floor against a wall. I stopped too and knelt down on my knees opposite her.
"What was that?" I asked her with a smile on my face. I also had to try and breathe at a humanly pace. She looked up at me, and without any answer or warning, she smashed her lips against mine. They tasted like cherry. Sweet cherry. Unlike the last time, the kiss lasted a lot longer and was more aggressive. She slammed her hands against my chest, clenched my shirt and pulled it towards her. At this point, I practically had her pushed up against the wall. Which was pretty hot.
We pulled away simultaneously and smiled at each other.
"Hey we should do that again sometime" she whispered and winked at me. The butterflies burst out into my stomach which made my smile ten times wider than before. "Deal" I whispered back.
We gazed into each other's eyes for a few seconds in silence until I broke it.
"That was really cute by the way" I said, letting her know that she made me happy. "You think?" She asked. "Of course. It was cute as fuck. Standing up to Aubrey is hard work. Especially since you're her best friend". I noted. "That's true. It was scary. Really scary. I backed out at the end, as you can probably tell. But a kiss was all I needed to make me calm down. Jesus". Chloe but her lip after saying that sentence which made my eyes widen a little.
I can't get enough of her. She's so fucking mine.
"Beale?" I asked. "Yeah?" She answered, curious as to what I had to say. "You're so mine" I whispered down her ear. Her smile became bigger quickly.
That smile is so damn gorgeous.
