BRUNO

"Bruno, will you chill out?" Larissa was right next to my things, her leg crossed over the other one and I gazed at my watch for the upteenpth time this evening.

Our flight was scheduled for departure in the next thirty minutes and Callie and Elise still haven't arrived yet. Back and forth, I paced around the waiting area where most of my team members were there. Phil was conversing on the phone with his wife Urbana, Tessa scribbled her signature over countless papers in a manilla folder, and my brother Eric was keeping the other Hooligans preoccupied.

"What if Elise changes her mind at the last minute?" The back of my hand patted against the palm of the other one. Every once in awhile, I would glide my hand through my curls to relieve some of my tension. I was never one that got like this, so why was this happening right now?

"She wouldn't do that, Bruno," Tessa paused her movements and regarded me with a tiny smile. "Elise is a woman of her word. If she's gonna do something, she'll follow it through to the best of her ability."

My phone buzzed, alerting me that I received a text message. When I opened it, my heart nearly dropped from getting a text from Elise.

[Hey, Bruno! I hope you'll be happy to see me because I'll be there soon.]

There it was again and my previous anxiety seamlessly melted away whenever Elise would contact me. How long has it been since a woman has made me feel this way? Perhaps a bit too long and it was comforting that she had that kind of aura about her. My phone buzzed again, but the message had conveyed an entirely different feeling from her.

[One more thing. I'm so ready to kiss you again. I miss your lips on mine.]

It took all of my will power to silence the moan that wanted to slip past my lips. Baby girl wasn't even here yet and she had me feigning for her all over again. I swear, Elise was not your average woman. She was in a class by herself and that was such a turn on to me. Before I could tell everyone that she got in touch with me, Tessa beat me to it.

"Y'all, Elise and Callie are about to come in, so let's get ready to leave," Tessa put her cell back into her clutch and stood up, stretching the kinks from her stiff muscles. "Take care of everything before we go because the next time we'll stop will be in Amsterdam where the layover will take place."

Elise must have sent a text to Tessa so things wouldn't look too suspicious between us. She was smarter than I thought. Then again, a handful of people already figured out the tension between us so it wouldn't really matter at this point. With that being said, everyone began gathering their things together. "I'm gonna go wash this sleep out my eyes. I'll be back." I announced while picking up my toiletry bag.

Slight ridges were forming under my eyes plus body ached quite a bit from practicing the choreography sets for the tour. I hoped it sound convincing enough because I was indeed exhausted, but I could save a little energy for Elise whenever she got here.

"Bruno, you need me to go with you?" Larissa was quick to suggest that, which caught Tessa's attention and she immediately shook her head.

"I'll be fine, Larissa. I just need to wake myself up a little bit." I appreciate her so much and mostly marveled at the professionalism to stick to her job, but I really didn't need her to go that far. If she was that worried about leaving me alone, then Phil could of accompanied me to give her a piece of mind.
