The amber glow travelled towards Pyra at a blistering pace.

Erasmus laughed loudly. It was an attempt to let Oleg and the Bounders know he had the upper hand. "No one defeats Erasmus!"  the sorcerer announced, raising his fist into the air. "I am supreme!" He revelled in the theatrics of it all. If he were to destroy the Bounders, it  had to be done in a stunning fashion.

As it drew nearer to Pyra, window panes shook and doors that had been left ajar were slammed, striking their locks with a crack. A figure formed amongst its radiance; it was horizontal, reaching out fist first, looking to strike a powerful blow. An outline of dangling curls swung from its head. It was faceless and slender in its build. If it were upright, it would match the height of Pyra.

"My eyes don't deceive me! It is Grewir," called out Dom in astonishment. "She has returned."

The others didn't know how to respond. Everything was happening too quickly for it to all be properly understood. Oleg in particular was still getting over the entrancement Erasmus had put him under. He was now certain what he needed to do; protect his friends, family, and stop Erasmus at all costs.

He might of been an Urthkai, but if a God was against him then it seemed natural that he should be too. The fact was Krals were gone and could never be brought back by killing others. He would stick to what his father always told him.

"Two wrongs don't make a right."

The townsfolk, Oleg and the Urthkais ducked for cover, burying their heads in between their knees as the goddess soared over, swallowing Pyra's mighty golden rays.

"What brings you here Goddess?" asked Pyra, unimpressed and confused as to why this mysterious being had appeared.

He didn't seem flustered that a collision was imminent.

"To act on the will of my servant," she announced. Surprisingly, there was a rich, resonant tone to her voice. It wasn't masculine by any means, though rather commanding, brave and noble. A voice that could inspire or send dread into the heart of their adversary.

"Your servant has used you," replied Pyra solemnly. He had lost some strength in his voice. "They stole your heart to cause chaos. Surely, you do no approve of this?"

"I will be the judge that." A luminescent arrow shot from Grewir's hand, hitting Pyra in the chest in less than a second. A splash of amber webbed over his body like a sparkling firework. Pyra crashed to his knees, clutching his chest. The earth's floor shook violently, causing some of the townsfolk to be tossed into the air. Bounders leapt into the air to catch them. While others like Oleg, slipped over on their backs. Vibrations pounded his head. He was convinced someone was punching it mercilessly, turning his brain into mush. The vibrations slowed and dissipated into nothingness as quick as they had appeared. He was left lying on his back with splitting headache. He groaned as the throbbing began to surface.

Erasmus smirked, clapping at what he had witnessed. "Alas Pyra will fall", he whispered to himself. "And this island will only be mine for the keeping." The thought of their demise made his heart flutter and whirls of euphoria swirled in his mind. It was to be his greatest pleasure of all.

"I heed you to stop Grewir! I have come to protect one of your own," Pyra spoke weakly. His golden rays had started to fade.

"It is too late to bargain." She was cold in her response. Impact of imminent, She was ready to drive her fist squarely into Pyra's soul.

"I will not accept this fate." he announced with coarse breaths. "Oleg, son of Ivan and Urusula Yardell, and Aldous, son of Ida and Yani Kral will be protected."
