"Ali, where's Em?" asked Hanna as she put away her books in her locker.
Ali rolled her eyes. "She ran home once again to that damn dog."
"Ali, are you jealous?" asked an amused Spencer.
"Emily needs to realize that she has a girlfriend too," she said with much attitude.
"Ali, just tell Em you want to go on a date," offered the ever romantic Aria.
"I've TRIED to take her on a date! She said no because she had to take care of that ball of fucking fur."
Spencer laughed. "Als, you must watch that. Jealousy of a pomeranian is unhealthy."
"Maybe if I tell her I want to walk it... and just let it run off..."
"NO ALI!" the three friends screamed.
Hanna grimaced. "God, I don't even want to be around this conversation right now. Guilty by assumation."
"It's association Hanna." Spencer walked behind her shaking her head.

Alison walked up the steps to her girlfriend's house. She rang the doorbell and waited for the brunette. After a few minutes, she hit the button again. That's when she heard laughter and a small bark. She rolled her eyes and walked to the backyard.

Emily and the small pomeranian were rolling around on the ground, having the time of their lives. She picked the dog up and tickled it, bringing it to her lips for a quick kiss. The dog let out a small bark that sounded more like a yelp.

Ali walked up to them with her hand on her hip. She was tired of this little ball of fur interfering in the quality time she spent with her Mermaid.

"Em," Ali called out in a monotone voice.
"Oh Ali, hi," said the swimmer as she looked up at her girlfriend.
"You were supposed to be ready an hour ago Em."
"I know Ali. And I was but I took her for a walk and she wanted to play."
Ali rolled her eyes. "Get up Em and get ready."

Emily sensed that her girl was in a bad mood so she hopped up with the dog. Emily's dad had given her the pup when he came home last month. Em had always asked her parents for a dog but they didn't want to get one for her because she was so busy with sports. But now that her mother had cut back some of her hours and swim season was over, Wayne thought a dog would do his girls some good.

Em put the dog down in the living room and she strutted over to her pink bed in the corner. Ali scoffed at the dog. Emily was already treating the small dog like a princess. For instance, her clothes. She was in a pink tutu and tiara. Em had even painted her fucking nails!

"Babe, are you ready to go?"
"You painted her nails?"
Emily gushed. "Yeah. Aren't they cute? She even kept her tiara on!"
Ali huffed. "You've never painted my nails," she said under her breath.
"What?" Emily looked back at her.
"Nothing, let's go. I'm hungry."

They went to a nice italian restaurant and had a blast talking. Alison loved spending alone time with her girl. They would talk about any and everything. They'd kiss and snuggle up together and just enjoy each other's company. They never ran out of things to do.

"Babe, What do you say about us going to the beach this weekend?"
"That sounds awesome!"
"We can do a triple date. Aria says her and Ezra are going to Philly this weekend."
"Cool. I just have to buy Nala a leash."

Ali didn't think about that and she almost cringed. Great. She sighed before straightening in her seat. Em was gushing so much over the prissy pet that she didn't notice her girlfriend's mood quickly changing. Ali kissed Em goodnight and watched as she ran up the steps. When she opened the door, the dog ran around her feet before Emily picked it up and nuzzled it between her chest and cheek. Ali punched the wheel. God she hated that little piece of-

Hanna sent her two texts at once, asking her to come over. Ali sighed before heading over to Hanna's. The blonde left the front door open so all Ali had to do was walk in. She threw herself across her friend's bed pouting. Hanna heard the noise and looked back.

"What shitted in your cornflakes?"
"Ugh! That fucking dog! Do you know she even painted its nails?! She's never painted my nails."
Hanna burst out laughing.
"What's fucking funny?!" Ali spit out.
"Whoa Queen Bee, calm it down," she said chuckling. "Damn. This is golden. Alison DiLaurentis, jealous over a dog."
"Fuck you Hanna," the blonde snapped. "Why did you call me over here?"
"I wanted you to help me pick out an outfit for my date with Caleb but..."

Ali rolled her eyes and stepped into her friend's closet. She picked out an outfit and held it up to Hanna.

"Try this."
"Yes Ali D!" Hanna exclaimed. "I knew I could count on you!"
Hanna went in her closet. "Ali, have you told Emily how you feel?"
"No because it's stupid!"
"True. But you're obviously bothered."
"I'm the one that can talk to her and kiss her and love her. Why isn't she giving me the same amount of love as that fucking dog?"
"Right! And you're the one with the boobs and vagina."

Ali blushed. Her and Emily hadn't taken that step yet. They were both still virgins but they had came close to having sex a few times. But it never worked out right. Either one of their parents would show up or they would chicken out.

"OH MY GOD!" Hanna walked out of her closet. "YOU AND EM HAVEN'T FUCKED YET!"
"Keep your voice down!" snapped Ali. "And no, we haven't."
"Wow. I lost my v-card before you."
"Whatever. I can wait. However long I need to. The dog is what I can't deal with."
"Ali, Em adores the ground you walk on. Tell her."
Alison sighed. "You're right. I will."

*Two days later*

"Ali, PLEASE! I have no one else to watch her!"
"Em NO! What about Aria?"
"She's at Ezra's."
"Hanna?"
"Her mom's allergic to animal fur."
"Spencer?"
"She has a debate tonight."
Ali sighed. "Well, what about Pigskin?"
"Ali do you really want me talking to Paige?"
"Yeah, you know better. Fine!"
Emily jumped up. "Thank you Ali!"
She blushed. "Yeah, Yeah. You dork. Where is she?"
"She's on her bed. Here's her leash. Her food is in the pantry. She likes it a little warmed up so just stick it in the microwave for like 15 seconds. Her bottled water is also in the pantry. Her blanket is on the table and her toys are in her box."
Alison rolled her eyes. "Is there anything else I need to know about Princess Nala?"
"Nope That should be it! Bye Nala!"

She ran her fingers over the dog's head and the small dog purred. Ali suppressed the urge to roll her eyes again. Emily ran out the door to go help her coach set up for tonight's recruitment fair. Ali sat on the sofa while Nala sat on the floor, looking at Ali. She gave the dog her infamous DiLaurentis glare. Nala turned her head to the side and continued to stare at Ali.

"Ugh! Stupid dog!"

Ali went and laid across Emily's bed. She pulled out her favorite book and started reading. A few minutes later she heard whining. She looked over at the dog staring at the door. She shook her head and tisked. Emily even had the Pom wrapped around her finger. She went back to reading. A few more seconds of the dog's whinning and Ali got up, rolling her eyes. She picked Nala up, sitting her on Em's bed. She laid back down and went back to reading her book.

Nala walked up to Ali and sniffed her. She then licked her fingers and Ali giggled at the tickling feeling. She rubbed the top of the dog's head and she purred. The dog wasn't that bad. A few minutes later, she ended up rolling on her back as Nala mimicked her movements. The two prissy girls were having a ball together.

*An Hour Later*

Emily walked into her room, taking off her sweatshirt. She'd looked for Nala and Ali in the house. Tonight was a late night for her mom so she wasn't expecting her until later. She'd picked up takeout for her and Ali. She looked over at her bed and almost melted. There in her bed was the girl of her dreams and her cuddly baby bookie. They were snuggled together in the middle of her bed. After snapping a few pictures with her phone, she got in the bed as softly as she could, wrapping her arms around Ali. She kissed her cheek.

"Mmmmmm Em," Ali said in a groggy voice. "What time is it?"
"8:30," she said grinning. "You two are so cute together."
Ali looked down at the dog. "Yeah, she's pretty cute."
"Just like her mommy."
"Ha Ha, you're so vain."
"I knew you'd like her if you spent time with her."
"She's a diva but she's adorable as hell."
"Again, just like her mommy."
Ali frowned. "But Em, you're not a diva."
"I wasn't talking about me."
Ali thought for a minute. Pam wasn't- her eyes widened.
"Em," Ali gasped out.
"You never asked me about her full name."
Ali felt like she was about to cry.
"What's her name Em?"
"Nala DiLaurentis-Fields."
