The day went on like usual, I'd eat and get dressed before preparing to head out and get more wood supplies for my father's work. But today seemed slightly off, he wasn't really telling me what to do when preparing the wagon for the trip, he was just letting me get on with it. Outside the house, by myself... it was very odd. So, I decided to confront him about it.
Walking into the house I opened my mouth to say something, but he beat me to it, "Ah (name) I need to talk to you!" he said in a cheery tone, "I had a thought about what you had said, I guess you could start going out... by yourself," something ticked inside me, a small spark of happiness caused an explosion as I unconsciously threw myself at him into a large hug, a grin helplessly filled my face as I covered his face with kisses before running to the front door, "Thank you! Thank you! Oh, thank you!" I shrieked but stopped as he grabbed my arm to slow me down, "Not today though..." kill the mood wont he. He waved his index finger at me "One job today, then your alone tomorrow,"
"But,"
"No,"
"Ahhhhrrgg!"
Todays outing was the same as usual, go across London, avoid the Blighters, lode the cart and head home. The street was a lot less crowded than before, maybe due to all the blighters hanging around. We had stopped outside a small pub and my father went in to get some drinks and a bucket of water for the horse, of cores he asked me to stay by the wagon. With a bored sigh I lent my chin against the palm of my hand as I looked across the street, a large group of Blighters and Rooks had huddle around, with the thought of a fight breaking out I shuffled to the seat farthest away from them. When they didn't break out into gun shots and knife throws I got really confused, they soon quieted down when two people walked out of the building they where in front of, it didn't take long till I recognized who it was...
