       𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗗 an eyebrow when none other than Scott Graham leaned against the locker next to hers as she stuffed her books in getting ready for her first class.

      It had been weeks since she and her current crush had talked but she had truly been busy.

     "You haven't been returning my texts," Scott said simply. Lorelei sighed she didn't know how to explain herself. They weren't together and she didn't know if they ever would be but he was every girl's high school dream. Sporty, cute, popular, and she wasn't about to give that dream up.

      "I've been busy Scott. I'm sorry." She said. She did feel bad for blowing him off but Vampire killing can take up all of your time.

      "This Saturday. I'll finally take you out." It had been weeks since he's actually taken her out on a date. They always played the will they won't they game so anytime he showed a little more interest she jumped at the chance.

      And she would've again if she hadn't have seen Benny struggling to carry in a box and Ethan behind him looking frightened. "I'm busy. I babysit. I'll talk to you later?" She said closing her locker and kissing his cheek before making her way to the two nerds.

       Lorelei's face quickly turned into a scowl as she stopped right in front of the two boys. Upon seeing the redhead approach them Ethan turned to her hoping she could knock some sense into his friend. "Tell him to take that thing home. It tried to bite my hand off this morning ."

       The girl crossed her arms. "You didn't seriously bring that thing to school?" She said knowing exactly what was in the box.

       Benny scoffed still struggling to keep the growling dog still. "Were you seriously kissing Scott Graham?" He said knowing both of his friends would get easily distracted by this.

      "You what?" Ethan asked trying to mask his jealousy. He didn't know Lorelei was seeing anyone. She had been spending all her free time with them and even hanging out with Sarah. He didn't think she had time to be interested in anyone.

      "I was not, he's just my friend." She stuttered out. "Not that it's any of your business." She added cursing Benny for bringing it up. She didn't even know he saw the exchange the two just had.
